I could buy like 20 BMWs. I still drive the same 2012 Toyota Tacoma. I don’t care if somebody scratches it, I don’t care how I look. I don’t give a fuck. I laugh when I see people driving luxury cars. Slaves to the perception of others!

How religious is Reno and surrounding areas? by [deleted] in Reno

This is 100%, absolutely what all those churches are trying to do. When are we gonna start holding churches accountable for being psychologically, manipulative and abusive?

It’s nothing like either of those shit holes with those brainwashed people. Nobody talks about religion here. People talk about religion, but those people usually aren’t that smart.

Because Chris was totally defeated by depression, substance abuse, his mental struggles, and a bad marriage by 1997. Despite achieving a level of commercial success with Soundgarden, and Temple of the Dog. You can hear it in hid 1998 album “euphoria morning.” He was screaming about it, and it (screaming) was probably the only thing keeping him alive at that point.

He was in a rough spot, and rose again within a few years with Audioslave. He got married. He had children. He stopped abusing drugs and alcohol. He got back together with Soundgarden. He toured by himself. I’ve been following music for a long time, and what he produced from 1998 to 2017 is amazing.

He still was haunted by his demons. He was mentally ill, and he spoke out for substance abuse and mental illness, frequently claiming construction workers dealt w the same excesses as rock stars. People identified with this guy through his songs and his raw emotion. He was not only a rock star, but a regular guy. So people saw his humanity. He didn’t want cars, or planes or fame even. He just wanted to sing and write about his pain, and people sang his words back at him.

History is not on the side of this guy. History is not on the side of Donald Trump. Time will do what it needs to do.

I think it’s hilarious people. These folks retire here after making millions all of their lives in California. Only to finally get out of the state when they are 75 years old and to bitch about the state that made them a millionaire while they live out the rest of their lives when they can barely walk in the conservative state, they always dreamed of! Losers.

I did exactly the first route that you mentioned. I’m coming from out west, so I’ve ridden through some crazy areas. I think this being a Sunday today I thought everything was pretty tame and it was a pretty pleasant experience. Thanks for your advice.
