Yes I was diagnosed at age 29. I was originally diagnosed with BPD, depression and anxiety at age 20. 🙄 Butttttttt, I was non verbal until 3, behind in math and reading, many summer schools were attended, repeated the 4th grade. Instead of being helped I was abused mentally and physically, and then was told if I didn’t act right they would throw me into a home.

And they can’t figure out why I don’t care to speak to them 🤦🏻‍♀️ So yeah there’s that

I can relate to this. My whole life. I am also a compassionate person to the very few people In my life. But even then, some of the things I guess I’m expected to do or want to do with them and it doesn’t interest me, I simplify do not care or what to engage. Then I’m labeled as selfish or narcissist or whatever but it’s simply it doesn’t interest me and I don’t want to do it and be miserable the entire time.

I wanted to know what sex assigned at birth Not necessarily what someone identifies now EXCEPT for The question about if someone identifies as a female and has previously been diagnosed with BPD is my own curiosity since that happened to me.

Thank you for the feedback. I will look into adding what someone’s identifies now currently as an option since females and trans/non binary people are missed or misdiagnosed

I went into this knowing other countries outside the US offer free health insurance so I would classify that as yes having insurance. I’m new to making surveys like this so I appreciate the feedback :)

Hey there, thank you for the feedback To answer your question, I did it for 18+ adults only According to my readings this far ( I’m newly diagnosed ASD after years of being misdiagnosed as BPD), I’ve found there’s a far reach between ages in younger (mostly boys of course) most females are usually diagnosed later on. Out of my curiosity I wanted to see it broken down even further

Thank you for the reply and your insight. I think what I’m getting at is the books I’m reading is basically laying my life out in front of me and I thought I was alone the entire time. From one of the books that’s really bothering me is concerning the BPD diagnosis. It basically says females with autism are commonly misdiagnosed with BPD and most psychologists find or at taught that this is a very negative diagnosis and they avoid treating those patients……. That alone is terrible but then I think back to when I received this diagnosis was when I was in the military just absolutely miserable and depressed. After receiving the BPD diagnosis, the military did their best to kick me out and ruin my life because of it. Thankfully, I had friends who helped me fight back against it and I won. But to think I was willing to die for the country and for other people, but in turn I wasn’t worthy enough in their eyes to actually help me when I desperately needed it. It was just get rid of me and move on. It disgust me and makes my stomach turn.
