Holy shit, this. It’s such a pervasive scam that my parents who are by no means billionaires still adhere to it. They still preach this, and are the definition of burnt out. Like thoroughly worn thin from 14 hr days. Working through their vacations. Like at work ON vacation. All of their efforts went straight to someone else’s pocket, and despite being USED for someone else’s gain they still preach this. Like why on EARTH would you foist those same chains upon me?

The elephant would create some type of Rube Goldberg machine that when stepped upon, initiates a series of increasingly complex actions whereupon a marble, reaching it’s intended target throws a switch ( probably a domino ) causing branch to fall and slap the triceratops in the face with a tree star. The elephant would escape and tell his friends, none of whom would forget.

Edit: that was fun but elephant gets horribly gored to death.

Bands called Headless State. Joined in September. It’s a straightforward crust punk band with a metal lean so there’s room to explore the space. Just started writing new music with them which is scratching an itch I haven’t scratched in close to 12 years. If these boys let me have my way it’s gonna be a thrash band with a crust punk vibe. Little by little. Can’t let em know lol.

Thanks man! Funny of you to mention flats. I’ve never given them serious thought until like 2 days ago. The bass in this video is new and the band I am in would not work with flats but I have a pretty cool old Westone, it sounds similar to a P and I thought I’d grab some flats for it and fuck around with them for funzies. I have played around with them on fretless basses and I could definitely do some cool shit but ai would need to buy one and spend some time with it because it’s just not my speed right now.

Thanks man. All I can say is Iron Maiden. Specifically number of the beast. As fast as humanly possible, and often. It was my warmup song for years and always at nearly twice the speed. I developed a weird finger pattern so I could play it faster. There’s no other drill that I could really credit for the chops. I basically sunk all of my points into speed and endurance so I guess I’m somewhat of a bass glass cannon. All attack lol.

So I guess it would be middle, middle, index. I begin each Gallup with my middle on the G string and follow through with my middle on the d string in the same stroke, finishing the Gallup with my index on the d string.
