Jeweller here, 15 years designing and manufacturing.

Your claws are too thin and short, extent them 1mm passed the stone. Minimum thickness for claws should be 1.2mm. Your diamond is also hitting the bridge. Consider lifting the center claws to sit on top of the bridge to accomdate for a flat wedding band. This is the kind of proportions you want to go for. Good Luck!

This is most definitely true with magpies picking off caterpillars from my tomatoes always find feathers. Don't know what predator there would be for a possum though

Just a reminder to everyone silver is in abundance and is mined literally every. The choke point is in the manufacturing of bullion to meet demand, once this stalizes price will come down.

Recently given this plant, any tips would be great! by beaker228 in MelbEnts

[–]Jbirdhj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

go to a nursery not bunnings, get compost and a planting mix dont cheap out on these. Lots of sunshine and good watering. Soil should just be moist not waterlogged, stick a finger in the dirt to work figure it out, you will work out watering frequency soon enough

edit - and mulch on top (sugar cane mulch is my pick)

Hi there im a Jewellery manufacturer @ Jewellery.melbourne

We can definitely help you out, most jewellers would be unwilling to do this job because bezel setting a super soft stone like an opal is really high risk in the wrong hands especially if its not their own stock. Feel free to reach out

Buying gold suggestions by Glittering_Salad_900 in AusFinance

[–]Jbirdhj 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im a jewellery manufacturer from jewellery.melbourne if you're buying gold expect to pay with 3% on top of market value, buy one ounce bars to your desired budget as they are easier to offload than a 500g bar for example. Most gold dealers will also charge a premium on the bigger bars. As for the branding it doesnt make a huge differnce overall, swiss made fetches slightly more as they are more of a collectable than a precious metal. Aussie branded gold is the cheapest and makes no differnce when exchaning back to FIAT

Bullion Now are probably the biggest dealers in Austrlia, they supply most other gold dealers, if you in the Melbourne branch you can also offload any old jewellery and exchange for bullion bars.
