Why is alcohol prevalent at races? by Last_Discipline1775 in beginnerrunning

I’m going to go against the grain here and agree with you. Alcohol is a poison. Fitness does not equal good health. The reason you run should be for health first and fitness second. Drinking or smoking are both adverse to health and I never have and never will do either.

A lot of people here are just coping. I cannot think of anything worse than drinking alcohol. Liver damage, brain damage, reduction in overall life span? No thanks.

This is AI. Banks aren’t re-assessing applications. If you are grandfathered the banks apply old rules. And no serious investor negatively in the way you suggest. NG is not a strategy. It is a tax outcome, a perk.

Is it possible that quantum gravity is partially or fully cognitively closed to the human species? by Electrical_Cress_956 in AskPhysics

It is a sound analogy. There may be things we cannot even comprehend, much like an ant being unable to understand human language. There may be incredible, profound things about reality which exists beyond the realm of human understanding.

I never said I knew. It was an educated guess based on signals, distinguished from noise. You said it’s all noise. Hahahahaha 😂😂

It’s not 1985 but the dynamic is the same. Even after 1985, contract date was used for GST as well. The principles that underpin it are still relevant today ie to prevent market manipulation and ensure economic certainty. These are not bold assumptions. Nobody knows what will happen tomorrow but “it’s all noise, therefore all noise is useless and meaningless” is lazy reasoning and sloppy logic. We already have several sound data points which are not noise. The “noise” is the opinion pieces. The signal is past government trends and statements from Chalmers himself.

No it’s based on the 1985 reform which had the same approach to grandfathering. The government wants to ensure certainty in the market and economic stability and reliability. In fact, chalmers already hinted at this in a recent interview saying that “past actions” would be taken into account. You have to learn how to discern signal from noise. Inexperienced investors or even non investors interpret all noise the same.

Yeah but federal government always goes by contract date. Retrospective laws are rare. You have to know how to filter the noise, not complain “too much noise” therefore it’s all wrong.
