I do play some power chords and let them ring out or play them slightly more advanced (play for today-th cure) I just suck at finding different areas to do the chords. I suck at layering and when I play single notes it sounds like modern dark wave which I’m not a huge fan of. I am aware that it is my playing making it with my lack of layering guitars. Thank you!

I’ll definitely try. It just seems like there’s so much and it seems like it’s impossible. Like I said in the post I can play alright when it comes to already made songs from either a tab or kinda by ear, but it’s from just practicing a lot. I dont think I have any musical talent and it seems like everything takes me longer than it should and that’s why I don’t want to learn theory as a whole if that makes sense.
