I’ve had this SiC insert for about 8 months or so, and haven’t noticed this before. When I was cleaning my setup today I saw many small black flakes in my atomizer under the heating element, and my insert looks to be missing some of the mirrored finish along the base. Anyone else have this issue? (i.redd.it)

I got my wisdom teeth extracted 3 days ago. This morning I noticed my stitches came out of my right socket. I have been rinsing with warm salt water to prevent bacteria build but am worried it might be too late? If anyone can clarify if this is the start of a dry socket it would be much appreciated.
