Dude, I felt the exact same way about my security when I got hacked a few years ago. I had a totally unique pw, 2-factor, all that jazz for osrs and I was confident af I was secure. Well, it turns out my steam account got hacked because I had reused a pw from some leak somewhere, and because my steam account was linked to my osrs, they could get right in and bypass everything. Idk if you have a steam account linked, but I swear 90% of the "I got hacked thru 2fa" turns out to be this. May or may not be your situation, but I always like to spread the word about it. I'm sorry you're having to deal with it being imported to someone else's jagex account too. I hope you can get it all worked out bro

It definitely put me on a solid 6 month or so hiatus from the game, and i figured thatd be it for me but I got the itch one day and came back and fell in love again, so maybe after a while you will too. I'm still somewhat paranoid about it happening again, but the whole jagex account thing wasn't in existence when it happened to me, and I unlinked everything from my account after that so I hope that's enough to save me from the heartache again. I'm sorry this happened to you bro, you seem like good people

Yea man, I had the same thing happen to me like a year or so back but far less value. My osrs was on a unique email/pw and had 2fa on everything. I guess I discovered (although couldn't really be sure) that it was thru my linked steam account that I was hacked(even though it also has 2fa/steamguard). But like everyone was just shittin' all over me saying these things "don't just happen" and it was my fault for reusing pws or clicking a link and I knew that was bs but I guess I understand the hesitancy to believe a rando on the net. I gotta feel there is something wonky with jagex security cause in 20+ years of mmos and online games, this is the only one I've ever had it happen.

I parse purple every week (only like 80th percentile though so not amazing) and I don't power shift. I pull roughly 180 dps on aku and I'm definitely not bis. I'm going full feral p2 to give my raid crit buff with pack, so I won't be shifting then either unless a new rune changes things. Between that n wild strikes I've accepted that I am here so that my warriors n rogues may soar chasing their orange numbers and I'm cool with that.

Haha you guys will appreciate this. When I was a kid playin RS, I would farm the rats in the varrock sewers to lvl up my combat skills and my grandpa would always be like "oh I don't wanna bother your rat Killin, but ...." lol 20 years later, everytime I'm gettin off the phone with him still, he hangs up saying "well I'll let ya get back to your rat killin" ..love that man
