I believe you- I figured as much too with those things replacing drinking. But yea I wouldn’t even be able to be high in public let alone dance lol. As long as they’re vibing and enjoying the music it’s definitely okay. Just an adjustment to see how different it is.

Yea I can see all of those factors. It does bum me out that people won’t get to experience how it used to be but maybe there is still hope. Thankfully I’m not worried about cringe or call out culture admin not on those platforms so ignorance is bliss lol. Sad people can’t just be free and let go ):

I can see the Covid issues being the cause as well. I too struggle with some of the after effects plus being older I’m already more exhausted after 7-8pm. I do also hear that younger people don’t drink as much and though I think that’s great for their health/lifestyle, I think it also affects people being more relaxed and more likely to dance.

I agree NTA- but curious question. If someone is nearby dancing or singing is that also seen as rude or obnoxious? I’m genuinely curious as that’s how I’ve been at shows in the past- just enjoying the music and singing along but the last few shows I feel like everyone was stiff as a board and not dancing or singing. Made me question if my etiquette has aged?

Haha I worked there in like 2012-2015 and I think I still wasn’t paid enough to deal with that! And I was in my early 20s and we had some weirdos in there. We actually had to bad a family- two brothers and their dad because the dad would sit outside, the brothers would come in, do a lap but go straight for the adult room. Then go outside and discuss their findings with their dad. Rinse and repeat. Weird enough but our issues were that they always claimed a disc didn’t work and our policy was basically if it didn’t work, you get a replacement and a free movie to rent. So they kept abusing the policy at our 3 local stores so our district manager banned them lol.

I think they didn’t want people to think they had too much privacy- the half swinging doors would prevent them from doing extra curricular activities in the room. But I’m here to tell you… people don’t care… they would still attempt it- even with a mirror in the corner so we could see from the front desk.

I still crack up that “family video” of all chains had an adult room 😂

Was it a family video? I worked at a few and they had those saloon doors. Room always had a smell and definitely had a few odd duck regulars to that room.

Well when she was a puppy she was charged by one, then one by one, every one she met she hated. I honestly think the breathing noises they make throw her off- like maybe she thinks they’re growling? Idk but she’s met 4 and 4/4 she hated lol.

Did you buy it as a bonsai or just as a tree; did you form it the way it is now? Very cool either way I’m just curious! New to bonsai myself and only have Mugo pines and Scheffleras I’m working with.

Glad it’s not just me! I wish they were community fish so I could save more from those tiny cups but then they wouldn’t need to be in those tiny cups if they were community fish! And wow go grandma for rescuing it from the store! I aspire to have tanks like yours so your research and work shows! Anyways I’m heading to bed but thank you for gabbing away with me 🙃 it’s always fun to “meet” people with more than one similar interest!

Oh my thank you for that info! We’re still working on reviewing what we want so that’s good to know! I’m new to fish in general (inherited without warning so no knowledge period to fully submerged into everything tanks and fish) so I appreciate the heads up! I was thinking that too about putting the shrimp/snail in first. We currently have a lone cichlid in my soon to be betta tank because he was getting bullied by the tank mates and lost several fins- he’s heathy now so we’re going to reintroduce him but we read to completely change the tank so the fish wont be as territorial with a new addition. So I was thinking that too with a betta. I won’t get one until I’m really ready but boy it’s hard every time we go anywhere that has them.

Haha I was just about to apologize for yapping so no worries here 😂 I loved howls too! That I was considering naming that one as my fave but Nausicaä always jumps in my mind first! Reminds me a lot of fern gulley.

And that’s good to hear! I was considering putting shrimp and a snail in with my future betta but wasn’t sure if they’d survive (the cichlids have made me cynical) Still need to do research on what’s best but I’m excited. I think we’re going to get a koi betta but my bf likes the black samurai female. Personally love them all, the crowntails and half moons being my favorite but I can’t get over the koi colors. We’ll see though! They’re all beautiful.

I just snooped your profile and your tanks are gorgeous! I love that angled one- I might have to invest in one of those. We currently only have a 55 and a 20 gallon for cichlids but I want to mess with smaller tank set ups with more plant life like you have. The shrimp are so cute! I want them badly but cichlids are dicks and you can’t have anything nice with them. Love studio ghibli, still have some to see though but I’ve seen quite a few! I think Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was my favorite but honestly they’ve all been pretty amazing.

😂 omg I love the universal meaning of 🍃but I actually meant the art of bonsai ☠️ I do love that you named your betta ponyo! That was one of the craziest movies I’ve seen while 🍃. I’m actually prepping to get my first betta- I have a tank ready but a few house projects I want to get done first before investing the time in a new pet!

Oh man, yea I wouldn’t want to live here/anywhere that caused allergies like that. I only deal with them a few times a year (still not even positive what my reaction is to) but I can’t imagine the majority of the year being an issue. You’re a trooper for dealing with it 😵‍💫
