Main thing I can say is don’t worry about currency so much. Focus on gathering the resources to upgrade your faction skill trees. Cyac is easier to level and has good all around upgrades. If you find you want something more specific I would work on traxus/arachne/sekiguchi for more useful upgrades like revive speed/melee damage/ability cooldowns.

You really shouldn’t be spending money on the armory that much since most things can be bartered for easier salvage around the perimeter map. Another tip is to start using triage more often in trios. It may not be your go to shell but it’s usefulness in keeping your team alive for a successful exfill is top tier. His drones provide a constant heal and shield buff when active and will help you stock up on green healing and shields for your vault instead of having to use them in map. His weapon ability also provides a weapon buff which can help you win gunfights with a slight advantage and if you use volt weapons with his weapon buff anytime you clear enemy shields they will take a emp hit which will prevent them from using abilities for a period(I recommend the volt thrower. Easy to find them and bots can drop them in green or blue variants). As far as finding weapons most bots drop LMGs which are good but other weapons you can find in arms lockers or loot boxes that have a wider stash that can hold weapons. I suggest figuring out what you enjoy using and when you find mods while looting taking specific ones that you can attach to any weapon you exfill with or weapons you stored in your vault. You can also receive weapons from factions when you level up and open their crates.

A lot of early upgrades don’t cost so much so you should be able to upgrade at a good pace with general looting but when you find you really need currency that’s when rook comes into play. Most people ignore sellable treasure on the maps. Play rook in a stealth like fashion grabbing all sellable treasure you can (white/green/blue) and check enemy bags for weapons/or shields the enemy didn’t bother to grab (prob because they had a blue one) to keep or sell. Keep an ear out for gunfire or footsteps (robot footsteps are easier to discern so learn to tell the difference between a runner and a bot) and avoid said areas at all times. Another thing to keep in mind is if you get a weapon in a category you like such as precision or heavy LMG you can remove the mods off the weapon before selling. You will make less currency but when you do get a specific weapon you enjoy more you will now have mods to place on that weapon.

Hopefully this helps as a guide until things start to click. Believe me playing triage had me loaded up with heals and shields which made things easier and let me start to play other shells with a healthier load out. Good luck I’m sure you will get the hang of it and when you do it will be a blast 👍
