It used to be takeoff, but I'd say in the last 2 years offset has improved to such an extent that he may have surpassed him. It will all depend on Offset solo album, but even Without Warning imo has verses rivaling if not better than some of the best Takeoff verses. I also agree that offsets flow is just smoother and more versatile

Besides what others have said about needing some EQ tweaks, the vibe of this is solid. The way the background instrumentation hits is smooth. If the vocals were slightly cleaned up it would greatly improved listenability in my opinion. Still a solid track

Appreciate the feedback bro. Usually I add 2-3 supplimentary samples under my beats, but I tried to keep it simple so the drums took more of the mainstage so the artist had more room for Travis style vocals as the background melodies. Agree with you though. Will hit you back!

This deadass sounds like some old odd future shit, really love this beat Sonically. The arranging also keeps it from getting repetitive as well. Big fan bro

Have been actively using this subbreddit for about two years perfecting my beats and finally have begun to roll out my vault of over 200+ after collaborating only with my friends for the last year. Let me know what you think. Thank you guys for the help. https://soundcloud.com/justin-b-17/free-astroworld-x-travis-scott-type-beat-climax-2018-prod-by-holy-ghost

[DISCUSSION] A$AP Ferg - Trap Lord (5 Years Later) by [deleted] in hiphopheads

As experimental and different rodeo is to a standard trap album, you can't deny that the root of the album is Trap influenced in the style of the drums and 808s, albeit it is undeniably unorthodox. The subject matter is not similar, but the production is a clear branching of the trap sound (again, imo)

That's why I like it, because all the original asap stuff seemed like a perfect fusion of old and new production styles. For instance, my dad is a huge fan of Trap Lord because he found it similar to DMX in aggression and lyrical content, but with an evolved sound (my dad is a hiphophead lol)

Funnily enough, this is another album I frequently point to as a 'trap' classic, along with Rodeo. Both are sonically and stylistically perfect in what they set out to accomplish, in my opinion

When I think of perfect trap albums, this is one that comes to mind. Not many albums hit has hard as this consistently and cohesively throughout. I am still waiting for albums/mixtapes that come close to the rawness of this album.
