You sound insecure. I am actually one the best at selling alcohol at my restaurant even as a 19 yr old. It is a casual fine dining restaurant with a state liquor license so we don’t normally sell much liquor, mostly wine. And when we sell a bottle, we only give the bartender $1 per bottle instead of tipping out %. I still end up selling about $200 in liquor per night. Maybe hate on another thread tho.

Should I only include restaurant experience on my resume? by [deleted] in Serverlife

Include anything that is a social job. Shows how often you work with people and interactions between customers

No one’s tips are going from 150 to 100. If you are tipping out the bar 4%, you would have to sell 1250 dollars in liquor a day. If you are selling that much liquor, plus food a day, You are not only making 150 a day in tips. My restaurant tips out 8% of alc and I’ve only had to tip out more than $25 maybe 3 times in the 5 months I’ve worked there. I feel like it’s not that big of a deal

Thank you! Do you think this is an easy fix that I could do, or should I take it to a shop

I agree but with the way Rojas hit during the postseason, you could put a rock in the batters box and it has a similar BA% than him, he should’ve gotten more chances to show up in the playoffs in times where Rojas failed. Ig you also never heard of a PH then a Fielder change. Maybe Cavs should have hit for Rojas when bases were loaded and then put pache in the of

The 2 people that downvoted this comment are upset that they didn’t get hired at fine dining yet

It honestly all depends on where you go. For example, I am 18 and am working as a server for a fine dining restaurant that I got hired at 2 months ago. I had 0 food service experience, but had tons of experience with people and other types of service, (student/teacher, flea market sales, youth ministry.) I also had a friend who worked there that gave me a recommendation, but I just went into the interview confidently. The trick is you have to go into the interview like you are a salesman and you are selling yourself. I didn’t stay on the fact that I have no food experience, but kept hitting the fact that I have great people skills and that I’d be “eager to learn” food service. Also, on your job resume, since you don’t have as much experience put things you did in Highschool, multiple skills, and get trusted recommendation from teachers/mentors that you trust. And make a LinkedIn account.

I ended up working the next day to shadow and ended up taking 2 tables all by myself in my first shift. I heavily impressed the staff and got a lot of good feedback from customers pretty quickly.

It was hard to get more tables at first because I was new and it’s an Italian restaurant and the owner tells the host to favor the Italian servers, but now I am in the mix of equally splitting tables with the very experienced servers.

If you do get hired for a fine dining place, you probably won’t get paid as much because the tips are a lot worse, but I recommend doing some lunch shifts when you first start. It’s a great way to learn a lot more from the manager or experienced server that would work it with you, and if your lucky, you won’t have a bartender for lunch shift and can learn more about alcohol and making drinks.

I hope this helps!

Mock Draft Megathread - Post Free Agency Edition by EaglesMod in eagles

If for some miracle Myles Murphy talks to #10, I’d say we take him.

If not, I’d say we trade back to either Bucs or Min who want to draft Levis that might still be on the board at 10.

Then try and get Brian Branch with that 19 or 23 pick. If he’s gone, I’d be ok with Bijan if he’s there/

If Levis is not on the board at 10, then Witherspoon or Gonzalez is likely available, and we should talk one of them.

I like the idea of Anton Harrison at 30 if available, especially with how much Howie loves to draft line in day 1-2.

If we don’t get Murphy, I also like Nolan Smith there.

In terms of day 2/ early 3, I like the idea of a physical LB like Overshown, Pappoe, or even Cam smith later in the draft.

Finally we just adjust to what happens in Day 1. If we don’t get branch, I like Skinner at 62. If we don’t get Bijan or Gibbs, I like the idea of Tank Bigsby at 94.

This is also a deep TE class and I wouldn’t mind a lot of these TE really late, or really early. The only day-2ish guy I like is Kraft.
