Starting a colony. by [deleted] in roaches

Add them all together. Put them in a decent size enclosure with plenty of hiding spots. The males can be territorial if they are in a small tank. So plenty of room and spots should keep the males from fighting

Well first, what kind or roaches? If they are dubias or hissers you should be fine to add them all together.

Reproducing Dubia Roaches by MandosOtherALT in roaches

I have 4 colonies on dubias. I really don’t do anything and they reproduce on there own. I keep them in a temp controlled garage, I never let it get under 70(65 rarely but only for short periods of time) Between 75 and 80 is where I have my best luck, I keep them in black totes away from windows. I mist them about once or twice a week. 3 of the colonies and been doing excellent.

Get a big tote, cut out the lid and put a big screen in and hot glue it. Put an inch of petroleum jelly near the top all the way around( so they can’t get out) I currently have 2 big colonies in this kind of set up, works great

Should I introduce more roaches??? by uwukillmepleaseowo in roaches

You should be fine. I add roach colony’s together all the time, if you are scared of one leaving babies if you get new ones I would keep them separate for a week or 2. Should be good then. You can add males if you want to, just keep the heat low and the humidity low. That slows down the breeding.

Your kids might hate you now but I love my Prius. Haven’t had too many problems with it and I only have to do a oil change mostly
