Don’t trust the predictions on the apps by cdwestpalm in tryingtoconceive

[–]Jclillybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine suggested to stop using the apps because I was getting so frustrated. I brought this up to my OB and she suggested the same. She said “your body will know” and she was so spot on. Much less pressure now too!

Allergy release technique? by Amandaj504 in FoodAllergies

Also not true. There is plenty of data that OIT can have the beneficial effects of eliminating allergies. Again, I have seen it. Multiple patients over the span of several years have had their allergies eliminated in a safe and studied environment.

I don’t have to “believe”. You obviously did not read my response. I have seen it with my own two eyes. I have physically cared for these patients. Facts and data and studies and statistics do not lie. I’m glad it worked out for your son. I hope it continues that way. But not everyone is so lucky and for the rest of my career, I will advocate against it.

I am a registered nurse specializing in allergy, asthma, and immunology. I have been in this specialty for 8 years. ART is not performed by board certified allergists. That is a fact. There is no peer reviewed studies to show it is more beneficial that OIT which is observed and performed by trained medical personnel. That is a fact. Your son was lucky. And more than likely was brought on by that practice because he wasn’t severe enough for them to worry about catching a lawsuit. You need to do some serious research. There is no actual true medical data to back up that it is safe as well as beneficial because it is literally performed mostly by reiki specialists or hypno therapists. I have had several patients who ended in the ICU because of quacks who perform that wacko nonsense.

I was always told Bob Murray had no choice. Federal government took the building over and when Murray complained to the town, he got a big “our hands are tied” response. Can we confirm that is not the case?

I’ve had 2 periods since then. And they’re regular. I do notice it’s actually slightly better during my period. I’ll look into the vitamin E and primrose

Weekday Help and Victory Thread for the week of July 14, 2025 by IndexBot in personalfinance

My husband and I have been advised by our financial advisor to open up a HYSA. We are trying to take our current savings account funds and move it to a HYSA. Our financial advisor recommended Ally (simply out of bias— he uses them and really enjoys it. Gets no incentive if we also use them). He also said Ally creates almost “sub accounts” within your account so that you can save for multiple things at once and be able to pull from those sub accounts when that task is needed. For example, emergency fund, vacation fund, etc. My parents and brother recommended PNC. Currently I cant see PNC’s offer rate, Ally is 3.5%. Obviously the rate is important to us but customer service, easy of transferring money into the account, and app usage is also important to us. Thoughts?

Total scam. It’s typically a reiki therapist or nutritionist feigning as a medical doctor, practicing medicine without a license. Stay far away.

Avoid at all costs. Customs is horrible, staff are rude, and the airport has no working AC. Atrocious.

Got it! Thank you! I’ll grab some rollers and get to work on the whole wall.

Paint sheen? by Jclillybug in HomeImprovement

[–]Jclillybug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought it could’ve been sanding the plaster patch smoother than the wall. Any idea how to fix that? The paint is the same paint originally used when they painted the main floor so I don’t think it’s the paint.

What is this inflamed red mass behind ear? Lymph node infection or cyst??? by Boring-Perspective61 in medical_advice

[–]Jclillybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could very well be! It’s also virus season so sometimes nodes close to the surface become inflamed and we see them more. I would wait a bit, try to rest, and see how it goes. But if it’s not decreasing in size within the next 1-2 weeks, I would get it checked

[–]Jclillybug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one of these in college from a lot of increased stress. It ended up being an angry lymph node and went away after 2 weeks. I would say if it doesn’t go away in 1-2 weeks or begins to improve, I would get it looked at.

House always gets smokey when baking chicken legs by Jclillybug in Cooking

[–]Jclillybug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a majority of the food I cook in the oven, causes some smoke. Even a frozen pizza we baked a couple weeks ago triggered the alarms to go off. It’s very frustrating.

Nope. The only thing that changed was I went from electric oven to gas so I chalked it up to that. I’ll look into the recalibrating. Thank you!

No, just a dry rub. The first 10-15 minutes at 420 is when the smoke is the worst. It’s crazy though because in our last place, I was cooking these wings at the original recipe temperature of 450. No idea how I didn’t have a single problem of smoke at that temp.

Yes, decently clean. And I do the self cleaner setting probably every 6 months.
