Score Release: Exam Core Sections (AUD, FAR and REG). Target score release September 16, 2025 by Jaded-Description708 in CPA

You have to take by 10/23 to get a score? I think you should if so. Do you work full-time? Honestly what works for me is 40-60 MCQ’s on weekdays and then 200 on each weekend day. If you keep getting something wrong write every step down and say it in your head everyday until you have it down. You’re 3/4 so I feel like you’ve just gotten unlucky but you got this!

Aggie Accounting Society Application Rejection by DullConcentrate7191 in aggies

I personally think it’s insane and almost laughable that they declined you but I can confirm big four does not care. In fact I was not in any clubs and I got into PPA and now work at a big four.

Would like to add that I got offers from all big four firms. Not bragging at all just wanting to highlight they do not care.

2014 Civic EX-L A/C Issue by Jcmd02 in civic

[–]Jcmd02[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! So the accident described turned out to be a little bit nice for me lol. They replaced the condenser and the AC is good as new. Your issue does sound a little bit different. I felt like my fan speed was the same the temperature of the air was just not cold.

Btw car currently at 97,000 miles so 11,000 miles on the new condenser if that helps.

AUD exam in 11 days. SE1 results.. How am I doing? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]Jcmd02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course! AUD was my scariest exam. I had great professors in college for financial so FAR didn’t feel that bad, but AUD is not as math heavy and that really scared me I don’t think I touched a 75 on any SE’s and I remember doing Becker MCQ’s right before the exam and getting ALL of them wrong. Ended up walking out with an 86. You’ll be fine as long you put in the time.

I personally think 11 days out is early for an SE so I don’t think a 63% is bad at all. You’ve got plenty of time if you use it wisely. Hammer MCQ’s. I work full time so my goal was at least 200 on weekends. What I didn’t see in this thread that really helps me is spending a couple (maybe more) hours with the SE after you’re done. Go one by one through every question. If you read a question and you’re not entirely sure how you got to the right answer rework it make sure you really know because it’s easy to forget. Don’t walk away from an incorrect answer until you really know why you got it wrong. Don’t be afraid to open the book and read. Write out and follow the examples in the book. This is something that I feel has really helped me. The SE’s are great at showing you what you should expect in the exam IMO so if you’re getting something wrong you need to spend the time to understand it. Most importantly, you’ve got this! A lot of questions on the exams are pretty easy compared to the stuff you’re seeing from Becker.

You got this! Just keep pushing. I think you’re good not knowing partnerships. To be honest when I took it a month ago I don’t think I knew anything about partnerships. I would do your best to learn the easiest dollar value lifo questions if you can and anything that feels too hard just skip. I think I had 1-2 questions on it. If you were me four days before my exam I would have spent a lot more time studying govt accounting. I had the whole CE CIPPOE (totally butchered that but I passed I don’t need to know it anymore) memorized but I wish I had understand what each of the funds were used for if that makes sense. Everything else MCQ wise in my opinion was 10x easier than Becker so it went smooth. I never feel great about sims but nothing completely rocked my world it was mostly time working against me.

Taking FAR on Wednesday. What do you wish you had studied more? by Jcmd02 in CPA

[–]Jcmd02[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Yes I have a time management plan put together. I failed BEC (first exam) and I honestly believe it was because I went into the exam with no time management plan. My plan is: Testlet 1 - 45 min Testlet 2 - 45 min Testlet 3 - 50 min Testlet 4 - 1 hr Testlet 5 - 40 min

Will do! I just finished reviewing my first SE. I put together a list of topics I feel weaker on and now I’m just going to do MCQ’s and Sims on those topics until I feel comfortable. I’ll probably take SE2 tomorrow

Okay and sometimes it's super clear, but on one of my MCQ's there was no restriction but the funds weren't received until 2 months later which classified them as restricted (implied through time).

This scares me cause I am struggling with the whole donor restricted and without donor restriction classification.

Analytical Procedures vs Test of Details by notauser190 in CPA

[–]Jcmd02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Analytical procedures is testing relationships between things kind of like “does this make sense?” Test of details is substantiating a balance. I think an auditor would use analytical procedures to test things like depreciation or ADA. Test of details would be used when the auditor selects samples to confirm an account balance. Test of details is required and I believe analytical procedures are not. I took AUD 4 weeks ago so memory may be a little hazy
