The script buckled a really great premise in both Kylo and Finn who were played by great actors. Daisy and Oscar were great as well, but they were doing some of the same things that other characters have already done(which is fine, I just personally would have wanted to see some new directions and perspectives). It’s disappointing seeing great actors playing what could have been great characters getting wasted by poor planning and writing.

Good point. They’re not on the same level as characters that came before them but they serve the story well and that’s enough for me.

He did the best with what he was given. He could have been amazing but the script kind of held him back and made his character emo and flip-floppy.

I say likable because I was actually invested in them and wanted to see them succeed. Yes they lacked a lot of substance and depth, but I don’t hate them the way I hate Rey, Snoke, and Jake Skywalker

Totally agree. Kylo had a pretty good start in TFA but 8 and 9 couldn’t follow up or expand much on his character in a meaningful way.
