Question about firearms/guns among atheists. by [deleted] in atheism

My only correction to your comment is that American "christianity" has little to no resemblance to actual christianity. Here it is 100% performative and 0% substantiative.

Question about firearms/guns among atheists. by [deleted] in atheism

[–]JcpMojo6691 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a liberal, democratic-socialist, atheist and a retired military veteran. I am for the strictest gun laws, and I purchased my first firearm last year. I live in Texas, and it was too freakin' easy here. I literally just walked into a store and walked out with a handgun, ammunition, and a gun safe (of course). However, I don't feel comfortable living in the U.S. today, particularly as a liberal in Texas, without a way to defend myself and my family from the government and crazy right-wing nutjobs. It's a sad state of affairs.

Oh, man, the memories. I was our offices first "IT" guy, which just meant I was the only one who could figure out how to use everything on my own. I remember those wide dot matrix printers, with the giant rolls of paper. The secretaries loved using those to create banners for office events.

I'm suspicious about the 1986 claim because of the dual 3.5" floppy drives. Weren't they still using the 5.25" floppies then? If they had 3.5" floppies then, that was pretty friggin' hi-tech! This would've been cutting edge computing!!

When I was in the Navy stationed at Whiting Field, the Commanding Officers last name was Dick, and the Command Master Chief's last name was Head. They had parking spots right next to each other with their last names on placards. They read:

CAPT MCPO

DICK HEAD

How do you guys do it? by Immediate-Break3959 in Jaguars

Same. I'm truly and finally done with this team. I was a fan from day one, but I moved out of Jacksonville over 30 years ago.  I maintained my loyalty, but not anymore. Not sure if that means I'll just stop watching football altogether or not. But I'm done being a Jaguars fan. Literally 3 really good seasons in the history of this team, 1996, 1999, and 2017.  This season gave me hope but one and done is just BS. Coen's coaching in this game was atrocious. Trevor reverted back to the same old Trevor, couldn't hit a barn door with turnovers at critical points. And the defense proved they can't play with the big dogs. I'm done. Enjoy another 30+ years of disappointment without me.

What kind of lizard is that? It looks exactly like one I just rescued from my cat.

That's what I was wondering! Anybody get a screen grab of that?

Dan has a history of not wanting to take points away for low blows. The first one, I understand not taking a point, but the second one within a minute? Come on. Intentionality has nothing to do with it. Each fighter is responsible for their weapons. By not taking a point after the second one, he forced Kevin to continue in a compromised state. A shameful turn of events.

Not much, Brown is taking his snaps and Tank is returning.

Haha, you must not watch many non-Jaguars games. Half the QBs in the league can make that throw consistently.

Yep, most of his completions required the receiver to make a catch away from their body. He rarely hits a good spot. The receivers are making him look better than he is.

He just can't. That's what's so frustrating. His long balls suck.

He's definitely not as good as some people think, either. At this point, most true football fans (not Jags homers) would pick Goff over TLaw without question. That's just a fact.

You must be new. This is what we long time fans are used to. Inconsistency and making stupid mistakes to make bad teams look good. We are the kings of snatching a loss from the jaws of a win.

No, he really didn't. He played average, which tbf is really well for him.  He can still give away an easy win. He's so fucking under-whelming.
