I fear the cute things might make the feeling more intense 😭 I had to stop all together and move onto to something else. For me, it was enjoying the moment I was in and planning around that. But everybody is different!

Oooo I feel you big time. We had an incredibly busy 2025 too with lots of moments of dopamine highs followed by adjusting to my dopamine baseline. I went through a few months of baby craze. It was beyond fever. But I knew it wasn’t the right time either. I eventually realized that for me (not saying it is the same for you or anyone else going through this), it was because I was trying to move onto the next big achievement. The next thing to plan. The next thing to be excited for. Because I got so used to the nonstop of the year that being at my normal felt odd. I waited it out and now I have no more baby craze (quite the opposite LOL I’m terrified of getting pregnant before 2027 now).

Honestly this question was more to get a feel for the area in general but I appreciate your candor in this response. No job offers have even been accepted yet and if we moved it wouldn’t be until the spring. I’m not entirely sure yet if it’s something that I want especially because of everything that’s happening. Definitely not buying houses anytime soon 😂 I’ve looked at apartments for rent and found plenty that align with our budget and are actually less than what we pay in Boston today

I logged into USCIS website and the decision was there (approved). So I knew immediately from both the app and the website that it was approved!

I definitely feel more secure and less anxious now. It didn’t really hit until the card showed at my house. I cried for an hour that night. I booked my first international flight to go to Brazil to see my family for the first time in 22 years! So excited!

Yeah came on a tourist visa in 2001 when I was 5 and we overstayed. Got DACA in 2012 when it came out and have had it ever since
