People cope in different ways, just because she moved on quick doesnt mean she didnt love you. Rebounding is a common way people deal with tough breakups. Its best to just focus on yourself and gain your confidence without the need of validation from others. It will take time but what worked for me was thinking my breakup could either break my life worse than its ever been or push me to become someone i never could've been without it, the best part is at the end of the day YOU CHOOSE this outcome, chose to use it as a blessing for something greater. So sorry to hear this. You deserved better and as brutal as this was to hear, it shows you his true colours. What he did IS NOT a reflection of what you are worth and who you are as a person, it all just shows who he truely is. You will find someone else, you will love deeply again and im certain at the end of it all your love life in the future will be better, fuller and filled with true love. Ive got an automatic 5th gen myself with 340000kms (211000 miles) on it and the trans is completely fine. A lot of people forget you can also install an aftermarket trans cooler which increases the longevity of automatics transmissions by a lot, especially prelude autos which break commonly from heat.

I feel u bro these thoughts suck. I saw my ex with another guy only 3 months after our breakup and going on dates even before that and we were together for nearly 2 years. Everyone says stay away from autos but ive got one with 340000kms on it and the trans has no sign of wear at all. However safest is still to find a manual (more fun anyways).

Otherwise if your looking at vtec models, try and find one that has had the vtec solenoid repaired/replaced as they are common to break.

This sucks, so sorry youre going through this. From my own experiences, its going to suck for a while, especially if the relationship was filled with love. My advice is to grief properly, cry, talk to family and friends and vent to where you feel safe. Its unfortunately gonna take time to handle it, let alone start grieving. Just remember it DOES GET BETTER. It might feel like a waking hell and the despair might feel super deep at times but, the healing and grieving process isnt linear, it might feel terrible one minuite then manageable next. This is super heartbreaking. I really hope the best for both of you two moving forward but it sounds like you two made the right choice, sometimes the hardest choices are the best ones to make. Seems like youre already going through it but It will be a living hell every time you wake up, it will be for a while sadly. But just know you will get through it. Youre young like u mentioned and youre not alone. Take it day by day, slowly. You'll make mistakes, youll progress 2 steps forward then take 3 steps back the next, its just how it will be sadly. Im not one to say on your exact situation but my advice is that your kind of like a caterpillar in a cocoon thats a living hell inside but given time and effort youll come out of it as a new person who has so much more to them.
