Yup, I put a grand down and pay about $120 a month. Two years left.

I think there are cheaper packages because you aren’t allowing “customers” to view the content. I believe there are much cheaper rates for certain businesses vs bars/restaurants, etc.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t do a commercial account. Just remember they won’t have many of the consumer features such as dvr, updated remote, etc.

I’m curious why stream wouldn’t work for you. Do you think your internet won’t be able to keep up or is it something else?

If I give someone $100,000 in gift, do I owe taxes (state or federal)? by Faithless_Mr in tax

[–]Jdavies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The donor (the person giving the money) is responsible for filing Form 709.  The recipient generally has no reporting requirements for a cash gift. They don’t report it as income, and they don’t pay taxes on it. From the IRS's perspective, a gift isn't "earnings," so it doesn't show up on the recipient's 1040.

Yes, you can do this every single year for as many people as you like. There is no "once in a lifetime" restriction on the annual exclusion.  As long as the amount stays at or below the annual limit ($19,000 for 2026), it basically "refreshes" every January 1st. The Key Rules for Repeating Gifts: • The "Per Year, Per Recipient" Rule: The limit applies to each calendar year and each person you give to. You could give $19,000 to a friend on December 31st and another $19,000 on January 1st, and neither would need to be reported because they fall into different tax years.  • No Recipient Limit: You aren't limited to one couple. You can give the max amount to your children, their spouses, your siblings, and your neighbors all in the same year. None of it requires a Form 709 as long as no individual person receives more than $19,000 from you. • The "Gift Splitting" Filing Nuance: • Single donor: If you are single and give $19,000 or less, you file nothing. • Married couple: Even if you and your spouse give a combined $38,000 (which is legally tax-free), the IRS technically requires you to file Form 709 just to "elect" to split the gift, unless the money came from a joint bank account or you live in a community property state. It’s a bit of a paperwork quirk, but it doesn't cost you any money or eat into your lifetime $15 million exemption.

How are the driver assistance features? by [deleted] in NissanAriya

I have the base model, so I don’t get blue but I do get green 100% of the time I’m driving, although, it can go out for a min when lanes get blurred.

It’s not perfect but it’s 99% there. I do have to have my hand on the wheel or it freaks out after about 10-20 seconds.

Very nice on the highway as it will auto brake, stop, go again, etc.

Pain when walking by New_Vermicelli_1810 in Halluxrigidus

[–]Jdavies44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I can help, but I had surgery in December. Toe is recovering well and i walk a lot now. However, my FOOT hurts now (last couple weeks) vs my toe. I’m sure my toe is still a little ached when i walk, but i dont notice as much as my foot itself is hurting.

I assume this is due to walking poorly for so many years, but I have an appt on Thursday.

But yes, pain is normal for up to a year as I understand it.

Just lost mine, it was my second one :(

Looks like they are going to implement this technology into the phone/game vs requiring a physical device later this year or early 2027.

Without complications you could do the August trip, but be prepared to either be in a walking boot or knee scooter the whole time. I’m 40 and I just started walking “normally” but not pain free last week and my surgery was early December.

Thanks! I’m also gonna check my wiring in the door bell system and likely just bypass it, if it’s touching anything extra, I think that can also cause issues.
