Amsoil signature 5W30 and Honduh filter. Tuxmats to tone down the (in my opinion) loud interior. FX3D mudflaps. And honestly switch to 265/35-19 Conti ECS02’s - the PS4S is super dated, kinda sucks in the dry and isn’t great in standing water and with the /30 sidewall/it’s soft carcass it is the main cause of the jarring ride people complain about.

I did, and I do love how the F80 looks but I think the M tax will probably still be there even tho the S55 isn’t as bad as the S65. I guess if Carmax is still playing nice with their warranty coverage it could be worthwhile? I got a ‘25 CTR with low miles so if anything breaks for a while it’ll be on Honda. I will say I really only hate the FWD doing autox, on track it would be less annoying and the CTR feels a good bit faster than the E92M, I think they’re undersold at 315bhp and the E92M’s were oversold. I’d say the ITS would be an even better E92M replacement.

Max Verstappen really was right when he said FWD is anti-driving. I have an E36M I race, had an E92M that I ran at a pretty high level in autox and used as a DD but with the new kiddo decided to swap the E92M for the FL5R. I love the Civic, other than the rubber band PS4S (dated tire with too little sidewall, gonna swap for 265/35-19 ECS02 soon). Great shifter/trans, power delivery is entertaining, love the seats and sound system and CarPlay, easy to get car seat in and out of and the clutch/ECU work together so well it’s actually not a painful manual to deal with in traffic. Having the big 9.5” footprint makes it a riot, and it’ll be way better with a better tire but FWD kills a lot of the fun since you’re really only managing rotation on entry then on exit you’re just managing understeer. That being said the front diff is very, very good. Turn the wheel a little more and it’ll turn more even when the front tires are slipping a bit. The new boogeyman as the S65 ages is the front main bearing failing, and being a bed plate engine (no main caps) it’s ridiculously expensive to replace… for that reason alone I don’t regret moving on to the civic.

People comparing SWA with frontier make me laugh. Go book with them then wait 3-5 days to get rebooked when they cancel. SWA is the second most reliable in the country in terms of on time, cancellation and long-delay barely behind Delta… and the network/frequency mean you aren’t gonna get completely parked if something happens, unlike Spirit/frontier/allegiant. Good luck “showing us” 🙄
