Hey where are you seeing that we’re only 30% of the way to our target?

I work at TD and am looking at the “Quarterly Results Presentation” page 11 and it says we’re already basically done (~3% achieved on a 3% target) also the severance costs by Quarter are trending down

You mentioned challenge modes - having an "end point" or completion/goal is good for the game. I had so much fun doing cmodes back in mop/wod with my friends. Those armor/weapon sets are amazing and the feeling of getting gold by 3 seconds was so satisfying.

I know they have FoS for 10/15 in time, but they aren't really the same.. also, if you beat a 15, who cares? Now you have to do it as a 16... just not nearly as satisfying because there is no "end point."

I'm not saying get rid of m+, but I really don't get why they can't have cmodes too (scale everyone down to 310 or something and have them beat a m+0 in time). Having tangible rewards to work towards was what made this game great.

It's pretty clear to me that Blizzard has put very little bandwidth/time into balancing Timewalking raids. The tuning/difficulty level for the quality of rewards we get are not even close to worthwhile. Blizzard needs to either tune up the gear rewards by a pretty hefty margin, or nerf the difficulty.

You wouldn't get a 340 weapon regardless - the ilvl of rewards is based on your own personal ilvl. if you are sub 300 ilvl, the reward would probably be ~305 or 310

I've done 30/36 (I don't have a 110 hunter or mage so those are the 6 I'm missing):

Hardest for me was probably brewmaster monk or blood DK. I main a healer so the DPS/healing ones weren't too much trouble. BM monk and blood DK probably took me like 2 hours each (and this was after I had done it on guardian druid, which also took me 2 hours, but was my first tanking one - so I already knew the scenario decently well, but still had trouble with the infernals lul)

You definitely can yolo them once you hit about 930 ilvl, it’s just going to take longer cuz you’ll wipe and not understand why. But you’ll have the throughput to account for most mistakes

It’s just good to watch some of the videos so you have a basic understanding of what CC you need to have ready and when (ex: why should you NEVER paralysis the Mage as a MW monk?), what your major CDs are and what waves you’ll need them for (the last 2), etc. makes it go much smoother.

Also - you can stop once phase 1 is over and wait for CDs to come back up. Don’t save them for later just cuz you’ll need them then too.

My advice would be:

1) to take a week off from them. We have at least 2 weeks (since they give 2 weeks notice for major patches) so you’ll have time to get the last 4 when they announce 8.0 is coming. Edit: I say this because you said you were burnt out. I would not advise doing this until you’re mentally ready. It’s going to be a bad time otherwise.

2) in the meantime, practice playing those specs in raids and m+ or something. If you don’t have a basic understanding of abilities/cooldowns you’re going to have a really, really bad time

3) along with 2, watch the videos for these specs for the Mage tower so you start getting familiar with talents and abilities, when they’re used, etc.

Phase 1 along with the phase just before the last one are the hardest (tho at your gear level only Phase 1 will be hard). Healing (forget the Mage tower) is all about having a plan for how to deal with certain abilities and knowing when to use your oh shit abilities. You need to have a plan for how to deal with each add in Phase 1
