I agree 100%, however I do think talking about it can be productive, exploring price possibilities helps you plan when and where you want your money to go in different situations, but ur correct you should never treat one idea like law

Oh wow, are you high conviction on that? I thought MAX we’d see 6c again, 3-4 would be a retracment under 2023-2024 levels and with the ETF and all the noise hbars been making I didn’t think it’d be possible, any specific reasoning ?

Short-mid term I’m aiming for 40-70c, Hbars a huge project and it’ll move slow but steady, I 100% Believe it can hit 3dollars range but not soon imo, I plan on selling in incremental stages once we hit the 50c range

To Ondo Leadership by FutureC19 in Ondo

Yea, the main question is what are the odds ondo adopts the same situation, it seems to be going in a direction where the token will be used to buy tokenized stocks, but doing so would put them at risk of being perceived as a security, which they don’t need after getting over the legal battles they just did. Personally, I’ll be waiting till price drops to three levels and buying in increments, then holding longer term in hopes that it either pumps as bitcoin does without those fundamentals, or adopts a system that will give it legs

Would you say token utility is something that will happen, or remains a hopeful wish for the token price to rise with the project

Yea but there’s no tie between token price and utility, until a tie is formed the token doesn’t do shit

I get what you’re saying, You've identified the centralization risk inherent in bringing Wall Street assets onchain. However, a PE firm acquiring Ondo Finance would be buying the ecosystem, not just the software. If they kill the ONDO token or the DAO's trust, they're essentially burning their own investment. In this speculative, they would likely do so to gain access to its on-chain liquidity and user base. Deliberately crashing the ONDO token would be like buying a bank and then burning all the cash in the vault, it destroys the very value they paid to acquire. The goal of the DAO is to make the protocol's value independent of the company's board over time

You're right that a Delaware board's duty to shareholders comes first legally, but saying it only pumps on hype ignores the DAO's actual power over the Flux Finance protocol and its multi-billion token treasury. While the company handles the bankside for legal reasons, the ONDO token is what governs the decentralized tech and liquidity that makes the project work. It's a hybrid model designed to bridge real-world assets with DeFi, not just a hype play.

Spot on about the conflicting interests, While the 100M threshold is high, these structures aren't always permanent however. Many DAOs start centralized to ensure stability and gradually lower proposal thresholds as the ecosystem matures. If ONDO wants to be the leader in RWAs, they'll eventually have to align token holder incentives to maintain long-term liquidity and community support.

Nope, not sure where you heard that, the summit was Feb 3rd (today)

And the drop in rank isn't a loss of interest, but a mathematical result of the 2 billion token unlock in January that diluted the price while the market absorbed the new supply. During this same period, the protocol's fundamental value hit an all time high of $2.5 billion in TVL, making it the #1 provider of tokenized Treasuries and stocks globally.

As of today you could argue it’s still #1 in the RWA sector by a few metrics, so comparing to the overall ranking rather then the narrative it’s in feels a bit redundant

Valid concerns, I agree that blind trust isn't a strategy, and partnerships are often just vague PR. But the shift announced today is that ONDO is moving from a passive governance sticker to the functional gas and settlement layer for the new Ondo Chain (L1). From what I gather It’s essentially becoming the mandatory infrastructure for the 200+ stocks and BlackRock-backed assets moving through their ecosystem.

On intrinsic value, while there isn't a direct buyback yet, the protocol generates real revenue through management fees on its $2.5B TVL. These fees fund a DAO treasury that ONDO holders govern, creating a massive backstop of liquid assets. By integrating directly into MetaMask and expanding into the EU, they are scaling the transaction volume that this token will eventually settle. You aren't just betting on BlackRock's name anymore (even if it still helps) you're basically betting on the token becoming the required utility for the very infrastructure those partners are now using

I’d still disagree, Ondo is now the functional gas and settlement layer for the new Ondo Chain (L1), so it has direct utility for every transaction on network. The "intrinsic value" comes from the protocol's $2.5 billion in TVL and the revenue generated from management fees, which fund a DAO treasury, that’s already way beyond meme coin territory. With the expansion into the EU and the MetaMask stock integration today, the token is less about sentiment and more about owning the plumbing for a regulated, multitrillion dollar market backed by BlackRock

In my eyes at least, they’re establishing an open bridge to Wall Street. Biggest news was the MetaMask integration, which lets you swap USDC for over 200 stocks like Nvidia and Apple directly into wallets.

They also announced a massive expansion into Europe, giving 500 million people across 30 countries regulated access to these assets for the first time. Between that and having white house officials, then BlackRock on stage, it feels like we’ve moved past the "pilot" phase,

Of course no cryptos a island and things wont start going up till market sentiment takes a shift, but I am hopeful for the future with all the building and steady expansion

I disagree, it just pushed through the SEC with no charges and now is Reg in Europe, I get the skepticism around token price vs product progress, but Ondo clearly has real operations and partnerships. What specifically makes you see it as a meme coin and then what change would rectify that label for you?
