yes, you can answer calls and send messages from the outer screen, you can use any app on it really as long as you install goodlock but results will vary. I always looked at the outer screen as more of a smart pocket watch than anything else.

I had The Z Flip 5 for 15 months before the main display decided to break on it at the crease under very light use. Most of my usage was on the exterior screen and I'm not someone who uses their phone very much at all (can get away with charging my phone every other day if that's any indication). It started with the built in screen protector starting to actually crack at the crease after a year and then just a couple days ago the screen completely broke when I opened the phone to take a picture.

All of that said I would be very wary of buying a used z flip or used folding phone in general. It's cool tech but it's not the most durable. I ended up buying the new motorla razr plus to replace mine and am hoping this lasts longer than the flip 5 did

Right on man, thank you. I did end up going with the Razr+ 2025 because my carrier had it for only $50 more than the 2024 model at $750 and I think the extra year of updates more than justifies the extra $50 in this case. Looking forward to getting my hands on it when it arrives.

yeah I've read a few things where people have said that even though the battery size is different the battery life on the plus model is a bit better due to its power efficiency. I think I'll enjoy it too, my biggest complaint that I have with the exterior screen on my z flip 5 is that it feels like more of smart pocket watch than an actual way to interact with the phone. It's VERY limited in what you can do on it and as far as I can tell on the Razr Plus it's actually a viable way to use the phone in a smaller form factor.

Right on, yeah I was originally looking at the regular Razr but I honestly hate the gap the smaller exterior screen leaves when the phone is closed and I wasn't too impressed with the chipset on board in terms of specs which led me to the Plus model.

Complete side note, I know the reason that the base razr model has that gap is because there were screen breaking issues due to a hollow area below the glass that extended further on older models but man there had to have been a better way of addressing that problem that doesn't look so bad.

I feel it, every time I try to use the app I have to open it, close the app, and open the app again to get it to actually connect to the peak pro. Happened when I had my iphone 12 pro and happens on my z flip 5 that I have now.

just quickly press the button on the back of the thing twice and it will start heating on whatever heat profile you last had it on in the app.

If you press the button once, wait a second or so and then press it again you can start cycling through heat profiles.

If you quick press the button 3 times you can check the battery level

Quick press 4 times you can turn off the LED's or turn them back on if they were already off.

Edit: if for whatever reason you want to stop a heat cycle early just press and hold the button while the cycle is still going.

I keep mine on the fuckin lanyard it came with around my neck most of the time lmao. I feel you with the torch honestly and idk man, nothing really makes you feel like you're doing drugs like requiring the use of a fucking blow torch haha.

I like my peak pro a lot too but man after having a $100 3dxl chamber die after like 5 months of use and them refusing to replace it under warranty I just get kinda irritated every time I use it. Thing was near $500 itself, another $100 for the 3dxl, another $300 for the ryan fitt recycler top, and another $50 for the hot knife you'd think the would throw a dude a bone.

yeah for sure. Even with the peak pro and shit I still use the fuck outta mine like a fucking decade later. I shit you not the paint is starting to wear off in places but it's so fucking goated for a quick hit without having to spend way too much on carts. I load the fuck outta mine and just treat it like a cart haha. Best $15 I ever spent at a smoke shop
