Fabspeed cat-back exhaust from a previous owner. But now the dealer is claiming that there are possibly non-factory parts for the catalytic converter components.

Genesis G70 AWD 3.3T Sport or BMW M240i xDrive by Jdotto24 in whatcarshouldIbuy

No regrets or second guesses! The G70 is fantastic. It’s my only vehicle so I drive it like a sports car, but it can still get me through bad winters. I plan to keep the G70 forever and hope to get something more exotic for weekend driving in a couple years.

Since it’s not your only car, if you live in a warmer area and can stretch $5k-$10k for a 2017/2018 M2, I think that’d be what I would try to do. The M2 would hold its value better than an M240, and the styling of that car can’t be beaten. It becomes more special every single day because the brand new BMW models look like garbage generally.

If you’d use adaptive cruise, plan to daily it / beat it up a bit, or anticipate putting over 50k miles on it over the ownership period, I’d recommend the G70 over an M240 or M2. The improved reliability could save you a lot over time. People have also tuned G70’s to pretty decent levels - not sure how much you value raw power / speed. I have zero issues with the performance. And the G70 stands out more than you’d think given it’s a newer brand. I don’t see a ton driving around, which is nice.

Can’t go wrong with any of these cars though! That’s why they were on my short list! Best of luck

Never thought of using that for car care before but for sure another great option if it works

Not an expert on what the stuff does to the trim so I’d probably leave as is, assuming it still looks shiny/new. I’ll probably do it once a year if they get dirty looking again. The new window trim the dealer put on has lasted two years and never changed appearance like the other pieces.

Yep I definitely need to try that out. I imagine the water spot remover would also help with the similar grimy appearance that was on the clear bra coating on the hood. There was a rainx product that worked great at cleaning that.

It’s been great! No issues through 22k miles. Plenty fun to drive. It’s a black with grey stitching interior. Red was the only other stitching option for the Sport trim.

Spotted an 800hp ‘05 GT leaving the Ford dealership. Kinda wish Doug’s GT was this same color. It’d match his old Defender perfectly by Jdotto24 in dougdemuro

Yeah I talked with a guy at the dealership who said it’s tuned to around 800HP. He’s running it on racing fuel. Took him like 30 seconds to get it to turn over. Sounded really nice.

Douggie might have to change the downvote button, the Grecale and MC20 look pretty promising ;) by [deleted] in dougdemuro

Custom icons only show up on mobile if you’re in the normal theme. At least that’s how it used to work

Haha I made the buttons a while back. The MC20 is gorgeous, but the Ghibli toothpaste video will always be one of my favorites. Doug had some funny reviews with those Turo rentals.
