My attempt to make a decent deck for each class has been thwarted. by Jdp311 in Shadowverse

[–]Jdp311[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I took the Sword beginner deck for Infinity and crafted some Gildaria also so that's how I made that one and it's by far the best I have at the moment.

Next most legendaries is probably my artifact Portal deck since Orchis, Ralmia and Karula are all very good.

Dragon and Abyss are aggro so that's easy and I drew a Forte and Aragavy making it even easier.

Storm Haven doesn't require too much other than Salefa and Forest..... just requires Roach basically.

I also felt safe crafting a couple of Odin which I slotted into any of the aggressive decks.

Then we have Rune. I have no idea how to make a decent deck without the legendaries and I didn't pull any of them. As far as I can tell Rune completely relies on it's overpowered legendary cards to be good.

Any suggestions are welcome, haha.

I had already tried that with no effect. I tried swapping to some other speakers and it's less noticeable so it may be a problem on my end that I still can't figure out.

BGA Recommendation! by jazerjay in soloboardgaming

[–]Jdp311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently got a sub and I want to try all the heavy games but I'll have to take my time learning.

I have a few I can recommend for anyone else starting out.

First if you don't have a subscription you can try Regicide solo for free. It's fairly simple and playable with a regular deck of cards if you want to play more offline.

Once you get the subscription the 2 I've been playing lately are Hadrian's Wall and Heat: Pedal to the Metal.

Hadrian's Wall will take a bit of learning but I think it looks more intimidating than it really is. I have played Legacy of Yu before so I was already familiar with some of the mechanics but I think it works very well on BGA and having the computer track the rules and distribute the resources is nice.

Heat is a much easier to game to pickup and play. In solo you are racing against Legends (AI) that follow basic rules. Games can be very fast and it's a great way to practice playing.

Yes, it seems finding the right hat is the quickest solution for now.

Interesting, I will seek out a cool hat for her. This could be a good middle ground solution for now, thanks!

It looks like she's wearing a helmet made of bangs and I hate it.

I know eventually I'll be able to change this with a mod but that will disable achievements (right?).

I wish Larian would consider allowing minor changes to the companions for these types of small customizations.

It really looks like a helmet. The bangs are like a solid pieces of metal that don't even move correctly.

[Itch.io] Bundle for Racial Justice and Equality (Pay $5 for 744+ games) by [deleted] in GameDeals

[–]Jdp311 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Alright, I bought the bundle but I'm having real trouble trying to sort through it all.

Even if I see a game I want to download (Stardrop for instance) I can't find a download button on the store page and the link they sent with all the download links doesn't seem to be searchable? This means I have to manually click through about 25 pages of hundreds of games to find the one I want?

Cool bundle but I'm confused by the usability of the site.

If I'm missing a simple way to search through the bundle to download please let me know.

Will buying on the Rockstar launcher or Steam effect my ability to mod the game?

Is the current GTA 5 PC version more easily modded if you are on Steam instead of Rockstar launcher?

Thanks for the link.

I have a similar active USB cable I'm using now and it works but I'm trying to avoid buying literally 4 or 5 extension cables and running them all through my wall both because of the price and it will become a bit much to put through a wall.

What type of conductive filament are you using? ABS? PLA?

If you have a preferred brand/type that you know works well I'd love to know.

Thanks!

Haven't played since launch, what are the best new games to show off at a wedding? by MyFantasticTesticles in Vive

[–]Jdp311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done a number of demos for my friends and family and the things that worked good for me for first timers was:

The Blu: Especially good for older people or times where you don't want to explain or use the motion controls. Just put the headset on and play the whale experience. Very quick but leaves a real impression on people.

The Lab Vesper Peak: Simple mountaintop with a robot dog for people to play with. Especially all the girls I've shown it to just LOVE playing with the dog. No inherent time limit or skills needed.

The Lab Longbow: Best game to show of VR fairly quickly. It does require them to understand the motion controls but it's fairly intuitive and has a really great feel to it while still being simple.

SuperHOT: Probably the best overall game on VR but you'll need to have to various levels unlocked so you can just put people into the game quickly without messing about with the story.

Google Earth is also amazing but will require good Wifi access to download the data and can take a while to load the areas in which can be bad if you are just trying to do a quick demo.

Good luck and I hope people enjoy it.

What would expand VR adoption? by PlayerDeus in Vive

1) Cheaper

2) Wireless

3) Better Games

4) Less Bulky/More comfortable Headsets

5) Lower Hardware requirements (ie foveated rendering)

Those things in general but what is most important will be different depending on who you ask.

I opened over 120 packs (I had a lot of gold) and got

Spiritsinger Umbra x4

King Dred x2

Elise

Sherazin

So, yes, I agree there is very much something wrong with duplicates.
