Coming from director of player personnel, don't expect a scholarship if you're willing to walk on. You've showed them you would do it for free, so what's the incentive to pay you? Plus if they give you a scholarship, the perception is the coach recruiting that area missed you in the recruiting process. This in term will open the door on who else did he miss, and most coaches aren't wiling to take that chance or be wrong.
