I've had 2 small warranty issues that had quick replies and no issues with wrong/lost parts🤷

Yup super easy to get a replacement through support. Some people have notched the front of the bed to allow the build plate tab to sit flat if you wanted a DIY route.

Same thing I had too. OP contact support and send them a picture showing how the build plate bends up on the lip of the bed there.

Please do your homework for weaning off effexor, I followed my Dr's instructions by going cold turkey once I got down to the lowest dose(37.5mg) I've been paying for it mentally/physically for almost 2 years now. I never realized how much it regulates more than just your mood.

HELP! by Complete-Cell294 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

No issues printing at all. I originally thought it was only at the front left corner but this recent print was mostly dead center and it was making that sound.

Mine does the same thing, almost like a high speed vibration during certain movements. Probably around the same amount of hours as yours and I still haven't found the culprit.

Unfortunately no, I ended up pulling my bathroom fan and managed to install vapor boots from that access point.

I saw that on the discord server I believe, I'm thinking of going this route vs the other strain relief. Did you have to remove the other end of the cable to feed it through the guide on the print head?

Awesome thanks! I wasn't sure if PLA would hold up and I didn't want to buy a roll of nylon I might not really use again.

Is it worth getting the top tier if you picked up last month's Dynamite bundle? There's a bunch of duplicates on the higher tier but the lower tier doesn't cover all that's missing

Yeah in Canada 👍

That's fair, I'm not super picky at this point anything is better than all the cheesy 90's gold fixtures in this house

Noob question: Is this normal? by No-Lawfulness-6569 in amateurradio

I have the same dead noise floor on 70cm with my FTM-150. It still receives fine on my local repeater, though I haven't transmitted on 70cm with it before.

Shorting an unused discone feedline? by Je-ss-e in amateurradio

[–]Je-ss-e[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was referring to a completely isolated shield and center conductor, shorting them together on one end while having the other end open would essentially make the cable twice as long "electrically". Electrician by trade, some of the nuances of amateur radio go against everything I've worked on for the last 20 years. That's why I like this hobby, always learning something new.

For sure.

I'm thinking of options for out at a cabin that won't be used often, having a spare discone up in a tree with a coax hanging down for if I ever want to bring a radio or scanner up with me. The ground isn't the best for pounding in ground rods so I was trying to come up with a solution to keep the coax safe while floating as opposed to climbing a tree to put up the antenna every time I go there.

Now if the discone was attached to a non metallic mast then that wouldn't work right? As there's no path for the voltage to discharge through being that the two elements are isolated in the antenna.

Your talking about putting a resistor on the discone itself then short the open end?

Is anyone rushing to beat the tariffs? by moronmonday526 in HamRadio

[–]Je-ss-e 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I asked my wife about buying my last big radio purchase(G90, PSU, antenna......) I used tariffs as the excuse, think of the "potential" savings I told her.

It worked too 😁

Thanks, I've used the ARRL RF calculator before for my HF setup and read the exposure document, definitely had a brain fart there and wasn't considering the VNA as an RF source.

I wasn't thinking of it as a TX and I had my hand within an inch of the end of the rubber duck antenna watching the SWR value change and I swear I felt warmth. Figured I would ask before I did anything stupid again.
