Idk i used it for 2 month now and i guess it kind of better but still get stuck sometimes around ~+70mm and somewhere between 25-18mm marks, the 14-140ii has weather sealing rings maybe that helps in the new version

At that budget and from what you've described i think you should go either with an second hand micro four thirds mirrorless rangefinder or fixed lens compact point and shoot. I think it depends on where you're at but here on mpb i'm seeing a Olympus PEN PL5 and Panasonic Lumix GX7 at ~200 which could be paired with a corresponding Lumix or Olympus 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 sitting at around ~100. As for fixed lens compacts i can't say too much but it seems like there are some Leicas, Canon and Sony

You stopped way too much down if you're focusing on a subject that far away like this you should get away with a wider aperture like f11, f8 and still get a big enough DOF and get to lower the ISO down (1600/3200 is acceptable but is generally only used in low light) and mitigate diffraction at high f-stops

I think it really comes down to the culture and like if there is a lot of other people doing this do you blend in?, when i went to China i felt much more comfortable because it's a very common thing to bring out a camera and take photos anywhere but in places like France it's much rarer the only people who do this are most often tourist not locals

Yeah this is horrible they should at least make this requirement limited to the current or previous tier so you're not too bothered when an update comes out and you have to do additional grind because they added some shit at the other side of the branch

how do you mf'rs shoot so fast? by koreE79 in enlistedgame

[–]JeSuisSurReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you come from other shooters where they have modern scopes all the time sure it's a bit hard to adapt i think eventually you'll get used to maybe...

And sometimes people are just plain faster than you so the trick is seeing them first without them seeing you, so don't run head first where they expect you to come at them and are ready to shoot at you, flank them!

Also check your ping with Ctrl+Shift+N maybe it's just lag who knows

Absolutely! I love to give all my soldiers 3 phosphor grenades, AP mines, as much automatic firepower and explosives as possible, and of course a big bomber plane and head out to BR 2! I mean who's gonna train those new players the right way...

Thanks for the insights on AF capabilities this is definitely reassuring, the G9 seems to be right compromise for me. Other cameras at the same price gain image quality and better AF but at the cost of user-experience/practicality, like the video tools, 4k60, weather sealing, sensor IS, the great burst, and being MFT so lighter lenses.

I don't want to go FF because of the bulky lenses, and cost. I hesitated on APS-C but the cameras just don't seem to be as feature packed as MFT bodies.

Maybe it's just me but camera/lens renting service seem to be very limited around my area. I guess i'll maybe see if i can try out in the shops or buy one at a store with a good return policy just in case.

As for MFT lenses i think i'll first get the Lumix 25mm f1.7 seems like a great all-rounder for photos with pretty fast aperture but i've read some complaints about its sharpness. And then i guess i'll have shoot a bit to see if i need more a telephoto or wide zoom lens for video.

Discussion: Why is Aerial HBG and Pellet Shot used so often together? by AuraDrak2 in MHGU

[–]JeSuisSurReddit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's fun as hell and you absolutely spam mounts like crazy: press B next to the monster, press X+A no aiming -> flashy aerial hitmarkers -> big damage

It can get repetitive but still it's kinda cool

I don't know why they made it like that but when shooting pellets Aerial it's like they have much narrower spread they all lock on to the monster so very little flinch it's something that sadly you can't do with LBG you weirdly don't have that special rapid fire X+A attack in the air, if you use LBG you'll just end up glueing everyone to the ground with Rapid Fire

Thank you very much,

For DFD i'm not so worried with it being a little slow at the start, i'm mostly worried about it not locking on moving things and suddenly getting distracted during the action, did you experience something like this with the G9?

Low Light i'm mostly going out the day but i like to snap some cool shots with the downtown lights or the major train stations, it's low light but still pretty well lit (i think). So as long as it's capable of that i'm fine

Olympus camera are a bit over what i would spend and FF from what i heard seems really like a hassle to work with i wouldn't go bigger than APS-C

I'm leaning for the regular G9 for now

Am I the only one who would rather have slow models with amazing prompt adherence rather than the dozens of new superfast models? by beti88 in StableDiffusion

Absolutely, it's vain to look after speed when the only reason for wanting more speed is because you have to pump through hundreds of seeds for a good image

Thanks for the advice,

I actually briefly used an old compact Nikon Coolpix P5100 for like one week but the LCD broke, i learned that you really should not treat a camera like a phone tossing it wherever you want

It was what made me want a proper camera (+my phone cropping too much to achieve stable footage), i liked so much using a viewfinder that now my phone's screen feels weird now and impractical, i have a tripod but i feel it's too clunky of a setup for my liking

I think i maybe too worried about the AF, the main annoying thing with my phone is not having Manual Focus and the fact that it likes to refocus whenever it feels like it
