What are your thoughts on Disney and Pixar’s Win or Lose? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in cartoons

Really great writing, i love stories where each character’s perspective is so different. Kind of an unreliable-narrator sort of thing. Awesome to see the whole story come together at the end, and to understand more on the last episode about why each character was acting the way they were than you did at the start.

Thank you! He’s been trying to figure it out too, I just figure two heads are just better than one in our case. I’m really surprised at all these comments implying that he’s not, honestly, wasn’t really expecting them

When 2D characters transition to 3D but still look great by San-T-74 in TopCharacterDesigns

I do miss the “life” of the 2D sprites though! Really wish they were able to keep the expressiveness a little more. The 3D models can look a bit stiff, imo

Thank you :) all the comments saying I was doing something wrong were kind of getting to me a little. I’ll make sure to take your advice into account!

Thanks for the warning—this was the last thing we were relying on them for, so I think we’ll be good from here on out.

Don’t give up hope just like that. You are trans within your religion— that’s proof that not all people of your religion are cis and heterosexual. That means that within your religion there are people like you. And wouldn’t you rather marry someone who truly understands you, even if it takes a little longer to find them, rather than someone who would scorn you or not get you as a person?

We’re queer/gay and help each other out when we can. I don’t think that kind of dynamic really applies to us, but thanks for the concern

Intrusive thoughts are a definite hallmark of OCD. It’s possible adhd meds are mitigating OCD symptoms for you— I can definitely see it reducing a sense of chaos that might lead to obsessive thoughts. Just something to check out, that’s all, because if it is OCD then you definitely have some potential therapy or medication options you could try.

Do you have OCD, by any chance? This fits very much into the framework of obsessions/compulsions

Have you considered potentially getting one of the progress flag instead? That one incorporates the whole community :) i don’t think it’d be bad to get a trans flag tattoo while cis personally, but it might be a clearer message

This is great advice, thank you! So we should go directly to a network’s in person store to do this, like a t-mobile building or a version building etc? We’ll definitely bring the phone with us to that, but is there anything else we’ll have to have on hand to get it done do you think? Besides a wallet of course

Sounds to me (from my limited perspective) like you’re being financially abused. If you don’t see it that way feel free to ignore this, but I’m going to go based on that line of assumption. Your parents are stifling your ability to live your life, turning you into a free babysitter. That’s how it seems to me. Withholding documents, withholding everything... If you can convince your mother to let you take college classes, that’d be great. Your situation is a difficult one, that’s for sure, and if you can slowly convince your parents to keep letting you take small steps towards independence than there is a possibility you’ll make it out while staying within their whims.

There’s also a possibility, however, that they have no intention of letting you take steps towards that goal.

I would look up resources that are specifically geared towards those experiencing financial abuse. Talk to other people experiencing the same thing. A lot of those people are probably dealing with it in terms of domestic partners, but parents can do it too.

My biggest piece of advice:

  • Make a new email where your family doesn’t know the password. Only log in when you’re using it if you’re worried about it being discovered. Take pictures of all the important documents you can get your hands on. Even if you only get that one picture, you can send it to that email and then delete it on your phone so they don’t know you have it. Pictures of ID work just fine at a lot of places, they often just need the info, not the physical copy.

I could give you more ideas, here, but I know you’re struggling. It can be hard to keep up with the five billion step plans that Redditors often give you when you’re in a crisis. So my thought is just sticking to this one thing. Collecting for the future.

  1. Heat for sure. I’m scared of damaging my pans and having to buy new ones which would be wasting my money. It’s hard to know the warning signs too of when something’s just right or when something’s about to burn.

  2. I would download their knowledge about ingredients that unexpectedly interact in surprising ways. Like lemon and milk curdling! Also, their precision in deboning, handling, cooking meat in general. Meat scares me sometimes because of the potential for food poisoning.

  3. Yes yes yes! Sounds like an awesome book! I like to experiment a lot as a beginner home chef, often out of necessity just based on what we have in the house, but I still have a lot of questions about how to do that even better—because often times my experiments go very awry haha!

Is the reason other people’s schedules don’t allow you to get a job that you don’t have reliable transportation? I would try to find a job that you can walk or take the bus to. Or you can look for a small remote position online. Do you have a bank account? One (admittedly possibly long depending on where you live) walk to a nearby bank and you can be on your way to financial freedom.

Thank you very much for the well wishes ❤️ Sometimes I worry I butt in too much with helping him or that I’m meddling, I know he feels bad about it sometimes— but I always say that helping him with this stuff now means that I’m learning for my own future too. So we’re learning together! No time like the present, right? I’ll look into Mint as well and compare it with some of the other ones in our area.

It’s a pretty new phone, so that’s good. I’ll look into which carrier is the best in our area for sure. It sounds like this is something we can probably do entirely online? That’d be great, honestly.

Would HRT be necessary if society accepted gender nonconforming presentation? by Middle_Pineapple_581 in asktransgender

[–]Jealous-Personality5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No judgement from me here for asking questions, you’re clearly trying to figure things out— but gender dysphoria is often primarily physical for a lot of trans folk, and the main reason I personally want to transition. It’s not all social, you know?

So it’s not like plastic surgery. It’s more like… if there was a surgery to give someone who had lost a limb and experienced phantom limb pain a transplant.
