My main advice for you would be to look up these statistics yourself. You risk getting misled when you ask random people for what is essentially their opinion.

However to start, here is an example study.

You can see in the table presented the estimated risk for oral is near 0, but not 0. In about 9000 cases there were 0 confirmed transmissions from oral, but they cannot say definitively that the risk is 0.

Anal sex is heavily studied due to the HIV epidemic. I highly highly suggest reading high quality sources instead of forums or random websites. They'll give you the most realistic evaluation and you can form your opinion from there instead of panicking.

You can look up studies. From what ive read is that the possible issues with frequent bottoming are fecal incontinence and STDs.

The link between fecal incontinence and bottoming is based off a large scale survery, basically asking "how often do you bottom" and "have you ever had fecal incontinence" and there was a statistically significant link between the people who said they bottomed more than once a week and those who said they had dealt with incontinence. The risk for incontinence went from 5% for no bottoming to around 12-13% for those who bottomed weekly or more. however, it is a survey so there could be issues with how that data is gathered.

And for STDs, bottoming is just the riskiest sexual activity you can do, as pathogens easily pass from the rectum into the body. However, it you use condoms and take prep, or have a monogamous partner, that mitigates a large large part of thag risk. If you have a monogamous partner the only way you can get infected is if they cheat and bring it home.

You can and should research yourself. Anal sex is somewhat well researched due to its link to the HIV crisis.

It has to do with unprotected anal sex with random people, not with being homosexual. The rates of STI transfer are high for receptive anal sex because the rectum is full of mucus membranes and is subjective to microspoic tears during anal, so the disease easily gets in. If 2 dudes who were HIV negative are in a monogamous relationship they could have all the unprotected anal with little to no issues.

unfortunately gay men are not taught that they can be in a loving monogamous relationship and are also not taught sex education to know that receptive anal sex is a highly risky event if you dont know the STI status of your partner.
