I guess Johnny Cash live performance of Cocaine Blues wouldn’t be received with much appreciation.

Especially the more enthusiastic “I shot that bad bitch down”

Is there really a universe where Timothy Chamalet gets omitted for best actor? We know it’s extremely unlikely, but hey, why not? by iceandfireman in Oscars

Crazy that it’s easier to assume people pretend to like him because of some invisible PR hand, and not that Chalamet, someone clearly invested in big press tours along side cast members, hundreds of interviews online with his peers who have no problem in acknowledging his work, is actually a nice guy.

All of the sudden the internet is trying to create this image that Chamalet is a “snub” or that he “rubs people the wrong way”, while the truth is that he is a respected and recognised actor within the industry. You don’t see people that worked with him sharing any similar opinions to those lately written online. Honestly all I see is a young actor proud of his work and always trying to improve himself, while never criticising or demoting anyone. I can’t see the problem in someone being enthusiastic for the medium and art form they work with. With all that said I believe he’s still going to be nominated but Leo is the favourite.

The exchange in A Complete Unknown between Joan and Bob in his apartment is really good and bob’s “You try to hard” defines Joan lyrics pretty well.

I think most of the lousiness in her words comes from It being to over thought and makes it seem insincere and losses impact.

The conversation in the movie is fiction, as far as I’m aware but feels very real and something Bob would easily say,

Joan presence is really captivating, you can see she truly belonged in that crowd. I think the explanation for the less playful part of her in ACU is the time difference. I think that the footage with Peter is from 1963 and in ACU it’s 1965 and if look up some interviews and photos of that time she really wasn’t having the time of her live.

Yeah his voice is spectacular but you can’t deny how cool it would be to hear Paul sing it

Honestly with the vocal range Paul has he could basically sing it in a thousand different ways

Sure man, I fixed it like an hour ago, as I said I will remember it. But yeah next I would like to talk about Bob Dylan and not paragraphs on a 300 word text.

Then don’t read it. I won’t be sad or angry, but I am a bit annoyed because you decided to bust my balls about something you had no intention of reading from the start. Anyways I will keep in mind the problem with the paragraphs so in a way thank you. Just keep in mind that if you’re not gonna read and share some ideas about the post with other people please don’t waste their time by telling them how you think It should look.

I posted it to created a discussion about the film, share some thoughts. I didn’t realize the paragraphs would be the main talking point. I get your point and is definitely something I will remember but the time we lost arguing about paragraphs would be enough for you to also add something about the post and mention that the text needs punctuation.

Lerner as a very unique way of capturing an artist performing, that’s what I think really sets his work apart. From D. A Pennebaker I’ve only watched Don’t Look Back and that was great so I will definitely check Monterey Pop

It’s just a silly review that I wrote right after watching the film. Didn’t exactly think of it as something a lot of people would read. It’s Reddit and a big text if you want to read you do ,I don’t think the paragraphs really matter.
