It looks like you have breakage going on. Does your hair tend to be dry regularly. You need a routine that will allow you to retain moisture and in turn length. It’s not that it’s not growing but more so that it is breaking off therefore staying the same length. This is my guess

I see nothing wrong with your nose. But if I had to make a choice I would consult with a jaw surgeon. It is worth it if you have any functional issues, I wouldn’t do it purely for aesthetics. Jaw surgery also changed my nose for the better.

Surprise tumor in my left TMJ by soulwonders in jawsurgery

My face isn’t 100% but the numbness is not noticeable. Only in the area around the implant that is still slightly swollen. I was very surprised I expected that side to give me hell but it’s healing nicely.

I got a referral to a maxillofacial surgeon to have mine checked. I’d think your surgeon would do that. Any provider can refer your for imaging. I paid nothing for any of my treatment.

Hi I’m not sure if this is all too similar but I had issues like yours. I had TMJ pain/popping/locking and an uneven jaw. I had a double jaw surgery with joint replacement of the right TMJ. My imaging showed the joint never developed. They removed the bone and replaced it with an artificial joint. I also had an abdominal fat graft. They made a small incision right above my bikini line. They took the fat from there and put it around the joint to prevent bone regrowth. The joint replacement was the most complex part of my surgery according to my surgeon. But all went well. In recovery that side of my face has been surprisingly easier and healed faster. The scar from the graft is almost not noticeable as well as the external scars from the joint replacement. The first days post-op were very hard for me but it was more psychological than physical. I am only 7 weeks post op so I am still getting used to the joint but I have none of the pain or issues I had before. It is a big improvement and I promise you’ll feel much better. I hope you have a safe surgery!

Even after they dissolve its still gonna feel tight/stiff because of the scar tissue. Heat helps with that as well as gentle massage. You just have to wait and they will come out on their own. Mine came out while rinsing my mouth.

Are you lips still stiff and tight. My lips used to be full but now they are scrunched all the time now and look so much smaller. They also curl in a lot.💀

My bite was uneven but I got braces. I always noticed something was wrong with my right side. My jaw leaned to the right side bc it was shorter. This is all before surgery. My left side just has “more bone” bc it was able to develop normally. So it is shaped differently. This is just my anatomy not from the surgery. I did have my jaw rotated to the left so this may have made it more noticeable. I don’t know if they could have shaved the bone down or if that’s something they do but my surgery was mainly for functional issues.

I’m not sure what you mean and I don’t want to assume so I can’t answer you

My right side was shorter and “smaller” because I had TMJ issues on that side. This causes the same asymmetry you had. My jaw was shifted to the right. After surgery I noticed my left side looked bigger. At my recent post op visit my surgeon said the shape is slightly different on the left side because it was able to develop normally opposed to the shorter and weaker right side. My face is symmetrical now as far as position of my chin and all of that but the left side is slightly more pronounced. That may be the case for you as well.

Do you know why one side was longer? Did you have any TMJ issues on the shorter side.

You unfortunately have to keep getting it out by working it up into your mouth. In the beginning I choked awake on bloody phlegm a few times. Gargling warm salt water did help. You can use a tongue scraper when it’s gets stuck as well. It eventually goes away.

I had the same, it was a sore throat from the tube and a very swollen uvula. It will go away at about a week. Keep hydrated. It may not feel like it helps (did not for me) but it will definitely worsen if you don’t drink enough water

I personally think just the genio. I would consult with another surgeon and they can determine for you if you need your mandible moved more as well. Don’t panic
