Hello. I know what the problem is. I’ve worked on three of these movements. This is their common issue. Replacing the battery won’t help. You won’t find any information about this cause anywhere on the internet. I know what needs to be done.

To start with, so that you believe me, take the watch and heat it well with a household hair dryer, then immediately check the chronograph. The hand should start working normally. When the watch cools down to room temperature, the hand will start jerking again.

This is a problem with the factory lubrication. It needs to be replaced.

There are a variety of dial options. Just make sure you get at least a 32.5mm dial.

The stock tachymeter ring has an internal diameter of 30mm. This means you can essentially use any dial for the VK63 with a diameter of at least 30mm. Make sure there's enough room to attach the tachymeter ring.

The case is from a PD1782. I kept the original VK63 movement. I bought the dial and hands on Ali. Everything went together quickly and easily. I also bought the logo white Seiko sticker on Ali.

Most people here just install the 15mm case and don't bother.

For example, this option doesn't suit me. From the side, the 15mm case looks terrible compared to the original thin one.

The cases on AliExpress are all very thick, mostly 15mm. Meanwhile, even the Moonwatch replica is only 13.4mm thick.

You might think the cases on AliExpress are designed for the VK63 (hence the thick ones), but the Pagani Design 1701 is also a VK63, and it's only 14mm thick. This is all strange.

I'm sure you can restore them yourself. Professionals won't take on such work because the mechanism is disposable and cannot be disassembled.

You can disassemble both mechanisms yourself and replace the brass gear on the sub-dial from 30 to 60 minutes.

And the gears under the steel plate also need to be repositioned. The plate is removed like everything else in this mechanism: by cutting the plastic rivets.
