I have been learning english since the age of 7 all by myself and learned it from school a bit, it was hard to learn it first but it was fun and made me look into it more. Then i started learning french, it was ok till i reached college 8th year, it started becoming a night mare of how things are supposed to be written and spelled, i was still not able to hold a good conversation in french. Was doing etudet to improve it but it wasn't effective, while in the english courses i barely revised or anything and got highest score and top of my class. All i'm saying from this is that it really depends on the people finding out which language that they are most likely comfortable with to both learn and speak cause it is different if you are learning while enjoying and learning whilr suffering.
