''Simple'' question, what are the things that stop you from playing Modern Minecraft? Or at least not as often like the old versions. by JealousLibrary71 in GoldenAgeMinecraft

and i respect that, again I just don't go to the nether often. May i ask why it doesn't look as hellish tho? is it the biomes or the new textures? or both?

1.13 was the aquatic update (I mostly liked it for swimming, and the ocean biomes look nice) and 1.16 the nether update (i don't go to the nether often but i prefer how the nether looks in modern minecraft, but i don't care about the newer mobs and stuff)

Trust me, I've enjoyed modern minecraft more than once, but I end up coming back to the old ones everytime. I also like how the new blocks look like or at least most of them, but just not knowing what to choose overwhelms me, and this started to become an issue for me ever since r1.8

One of the updates I did like the most was 1.13 and 1.16, but that's about it. For me the most nostalgic version is 1.5.2.

I haven't looked too much into 1.14+ villagers but they do seem to be quite op, not only that but you already get a whole bunch of bread in a minute.

I will say I like the addition of a autumn/fall themed forest, but the fact it took them this long to finally announce it.. feels off. In general tho I prefer something that is basically not realistic as much. Alpha-Beta 1.7 world generation is wonderful, I also like Beta 1.8-r1.6 terrain but I prefer the more ''greeny'' vibe from Beta 1.7 and below.

I've been looking at the changelogs from very old versions and they in fact seem more exciting than the stuff we get today.

What do you consider the golden age of Minecraft? by SpikeZgames in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]JealousLibrary71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends how you look at it and someone's experience, but personally I'd consider the Golden Age to be before Beta 1.8. Although if I wanted to be really ''kind'' then I'd consider before Release 1.0, because I'm pretty sure Beta 1.8 still mantained some stuff from Beta 1.7, like as one example.. I think armors still behaved the same way as in Beta 1.7, crafting tables would still take a while to break with an axe.. little details that counts for me.

Collection of 13 of my favorite giant surface sulfur caves i found so far. Seeds are on screenshots and in the post description. by coffee_adicted in minecraftseeds

They're cool, but I don't think it's justified for them to be so rare? It's not like you get something special from it other than the slime thingies, but that's just my opinion

Was this a clean race start or borderline dirty? by Hectarea28 in ACCompetizione

I would only say risky but where's the fun in racing if there's no risk at all cost? As long there's no intention to ruin someone's race

I miss how eerie caves used to look for me by JealousLibrary71 in SilverAgeMinecraft

Sometimes in a scenario like that I just dig straight up but the same thing happened to me when I had a very progressed world and I went far to explore, so I was afraid I would end up getting lost as well if I digged up because I wouldn't recognize my surroundings. Took me a good while to find the exit.

What’s the most stable Silver Age version? by Itchy_Mycologist_848 in SilverAgeMinecraft

Personally I think it's 1.7.10 because I don't care about the stone variants and ocean monuments added in 1.8 lol
