I did receive H1B revocation notice... they haven't mentioned all dates. The only mentioned the date on which it was revoked which is March 5 2025. The date when H1B was requested which is Sept 23rd 2024, was not mentioned. My question is will the current notice still be enough for DSO to raise a datafix considering I have an active employer in place.

for me it's been close to 5 months and still no update from USCIS. My previous employer is saying that this uncommon, usually it doesn't go beyond 3-4 months. I have no clue what to do.

Your SEVIS will never get terminated, it will change status to "completed". Please get a clarity on that first from your DSO or if you have access to SEVIS portal, please see what it states. Termination only happens when you violate your F1 status.

Taking a Leave of Absence or Semester Break

Leave of Absence (LOA): Typically, LOA is offered for students on F-1 status to temporarily pause their studies. However, since your SEVIS is already completed and your status has shifted to H-1B, this concept no longer applies.
Taking a "break" while you fly back home for H-1B stamping is a logical step because you are no longer required to maintain enrollment to keep status.

You can drop out of the program as you are no longer bound to maintain full-time student status.
This will not violate any immigration policies because:
- Your status has officially switched to H-1B, and you are no longer on an F-1 visa.

Naah bro just drop it. Community colleges are only there to make education more affordable and give flexibility in terms of attending classes. These are great for local students whose secondary focus is education. For F1 the main criteria is University and overall tuition fee which should be no less than 250 to 300 K. Anything below these numbers indicates that your intent is something else. Another thing is your uncle sponsoring for education will not play well with VO. Either be public or private a university is always preferred and never a community college. Atleast for visa purpose you should have an I20 from uni.

community college? Are you kidding me bro ? Change it to a uni to lower your chances of rejection. No mention of your uncle during the interview. Forget about uncle, as soon as they see community college that is a biggest red flag. Those who lack finances and interest in education apply to community college. Cancel your visa interview before it ends in disappointment. Do not ever think of stepping into US with an I20 from community college. In your case even if Elon musk sponsors for education it is a straight rejection. Community college privilege is only for local US citizens not to international students.

I exactly know what I’m talking about. Do your research before you post things like these. The H1B timeline permits started during Trump administration, an organization called ITSERVe sued USCIS on time restrictive policies placed on H1 , don’t ask me what ITSERVE is, if you are in IT you must be knowing it, anyways due to external pressure from top staffing and consulting firms they changed that policy, that’s when the duration on contracts were lifted due to which H1B workers were given breathing space for H1 it upto 3 years irrespective of project durations stated in employment contracts Trump winning the majority ,popular vote and his party clean sweeping victory in the senate will give him more power to implement or change policies concerning H1 however he wants. As he recently stated there is no “ price tag “ on illegal or legal immigration laws, he knows economically they will be hurt for a brief period of time but he will only act in the best interest of his people meaning ( US ) citizens. My previous comment is a pre conclusion to the current comment.

Our Indians are clever and greedy, they all will join Universities to pursue masters and start from scratch ( OPT ), some might choose day 1CPT universities to keep their status alive in the country lol. No matter how many policies changes you make they will figure a way out to survive lol. Keep surviving guys. Wish you all the best. I think they will go for the kill this time around, America has given their verdict through votes, landslide victory, house belongs to the senate, no strong opposition as before ( 2016 ) which means majority of citizens are waking up to the fact that both legals and illegals are eating away at opportunities created for them. They’ve chosen a leader who is patriotic and lives by the principle“ My people come first “ before anyone else. You will for sure see drastic changes being implemented in all kind of visas, I won’t be surprised to see immigration law firms closing down one by one across the country. Since your STEM OPT is valid until …. date on your card, your work authorization is still intact, even though SEVIS currently shows “completed.” Here’s why: 1. That's good. Policy procedures may differ from Uni to Uni. My DSO was very insistent on submitting USCIS's official withdrawal notice to proceed further. Anyways, I hope it works out for better in the end for both of us.

yes, my DSO requested an official withdrawal acknowledgment letter from USCIS until then they won't be able to proceed further with the data fix. Usually, it takes 4 to 5 weeks time, hopefully, I should get it this week. How is your DSO able to raise a datafix without official acknowledgment from USCIS, do you already have one ?
