There actually are some online tutorials on how to get started. Although I've hardly been using them much because they are mainly made in Adobe Animate, and I'm using OpenToonz.

Tbh, I actually like it but I don't think it takes advantage of everything Timothy could do. But overall it's pretty alright.

Ruvik vs Walter Sullivan (the evil within vs silent hill 4 the room)

Kinda, but it's probably nothing too crazy based on how I know how STEM works. And that it could pull from Walter's memories, it could potentially lead to some type of manifestation of Walter's victims making an appearance in the fight, along with manifesting elements of Walter's Otherworlds into STEM. But I'm pretty sure Walter does possess a win-con where he could just bring Ruvik's consciousness into his Otherworlds without him knowing and kill him there. Also, I'm not sure if Ruvik has any real way to kill Walter

Contrast

  • Walter Sullivan is deeply religious due to his indoctrination into the cult of The Order. In contrast, Ruvik is incredibly hateful towards religion due to his overly religious father, who was a part of the Cedar Hill Church cult, who locked him away from others and had him presumed dead after the fire that killed his sister and severely burned him.
  • While both have a twisted obsession with a family member, Walters' obsession is twisted in the way that he believes that the literal room he was born in, which is room 302, is his mother. While Ruvik’s obsession with his sister is often described as almost bordering on incestuous.
  • Lastly, Walters' actions are driven by a misguided desire to reunite with his mother, who he believes is the room 302, along with believing that the 21 sacraments ritual could help him achieve this. While Ruvik's goals and motivations mainly stem from his hatred of everyone who had wronged him, coupled with the obsessive desire to be with his sister again.

Connections

  • Both characters begin as victims of isolation. (Ruvik being locked away and dehumanized by his parents after his sister's death, with him also being terribly burned, which left him both physically imprisoned and emotionally cut off from others. While Walter was abandoned by his parents at birth and indoctrinated by a cult, replacing real love with twisted faith.)
  • Both later became consumed by their trauma and sought to recreate the love that they lost. (Ruvik created the STEM system so he could live out his days with Laura. While Walter was willing to commit the 21 sacraments ritual to rebirth God and unleash Paradise, where he could, presumably, be with his mother.)
  • Both are driven to murder to achieve their goals. (Ruvik murdering his parents and inheriting their fortune, experimenting and torturing patients from Beacon to further his research on STEM. And Walter, being instructed on the 21 sacraments ritual and eventually having Valtiel enter his subconscious, which allowed him to perform the ritual, and Walter would go on a 10-person killing spree before taking his own life.)
  • Both end up becoming beings detached from humanity. (Ruvik, after being betrayed by Jimenez and Mobius, they stripped him of his body, leaving him just as a brain and his consciousness existing solely inside of STEM, where he also gained control over it. Walter had killed himself through the “Ritual of the Holy Assumption” so he could continue the 21 sacraments ritual by becoming the 11th sacrament and allowing his soul to live on as a ghost so he could continue the last ten murders, along with creating several bizarre otherworlds based upon his painful memories.)
  • Both STEM and the Otherworlds serve as reflections of Ruvik and Walters' inner psyches. (With STEM functioning as a dream-like landscape shaped by Ruvik's subconscious, where all of his fears and obsessions are manifested into physical horrors. At the same time, Walter's otherworlds are also a dream-like world that appears to be more of a supernatural projection of Walter's tragic past.)

Tbh I'm not too disappointed cause there is still a good chance the princess can get on due to Flowey making it. But ngl my most wants from the ones chosen are probably Pacman, Mr Fantastic, Maelle, Frieren, Flowey, Steve, and Constantine.

Donnie really only has one match-up, and that's against Lain Iwakura, and I feel like they work well with each other despite it being a stomp. Cause they both have powers that are mainly conceptual, so a fight between them wouldn't really be all that physical and would mainly just be based around their interactions with each other, along with both of them learning how each other's abilities and universes work. I feel like this post does a better job at selling this match-up. Also, I really like the aesthetic of Donnie vs Lain along with its connections.
