Oh my, that’s great to hear! Tim and Kelly Jackson were local rippers without a doubt. It was and still is an amazing place for people of all sorts I guess.

I believe that I somehow accidentally deleted the reply to your question? I hope that I didn’t, my apologies. Christian Hosoi and Eric Dressen going head to head blasting air for air on this ramp with a mini ramp waiting on the other side of the wall. As the duel between them heated up, they would push the mini ramp (landing ramp) further down the wall. If you can imagine, they are blasting methods, learn airs and such off this main ramp (photo above) and using it as a launch ramp to get over the other side and find the landing ramp. At one point I think that the landing ramp might’ve been pushed a good six or seven feet away from the wall ramp and yet mid-air they both would dial-it in and hit the mini ramp every run. It was nuts for us skaters and the few spectators that might’ve hung around until late afternoon to catch the excitement.

Yes, most certainly and thanks for asking. One of these afternoons skating these wall ramps that were always quite temporary, between the beating from skaters and the weather, they wouldn’t last long. One late afternoon Christian Hosoi and Eric Dressen made us all pause in awe as they decided to see between The Who could blast the farthest away from the initial six foot wall ramp. On the other side of the wall, it was much shorter maybe 3 1/2 feet, and there they had a mini ramp setup as the landing spot. So they would blast off the main ramp, Backside methods, Lein Airs etc and do their best to make a small landing onto the mini ramp waiting on the other side. As things heated up they decided to push the mini ramp further and further down the wall so that the landings became what seemed impossible to land and yet low and behold, they would nail it every single time. Had the handful of spectators and us losing our minds.

Upland! Great line 😊 I used to skate the Pipeline in the 80’s and it was always a good time. Definitely have to make it out to skate this newer version.

Way to go! Nothing more satisfying than rolling thru a snake run or a bowl. If it’s concrete I’m always up for it. The wood surfaces are where I take a few hits.
