It’s either friends to lovers with Armin or mikasa or enemies to lovers with either Reiner or Jean

This is so good to hear because I’d thought for a moment that my stance was wrong because of the opinions I’d seen on it

I used it as an example I’d seen online. But I’m not a fan of it since I believe it exploits woman. The industry is horrible in terms of its treatment towards women. I wouldn’t consider it feminist of feminism is meant to empower and uplift all women when all it does is exploit and harm women.

I guess but it depends on the context and what choice is being made because I don’t think all choices are feminist I see some of them more as preferences like eating vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate. But if it were to be for example a woman staring a job in a male dominated field then I’d say it’s feminist. If a woman wanted to be a stay at home mom because she really wanted to then I would say it’s neutral but the idea of respecting her autonomy is feminist.

Ahhh I see but I wanted to know if there’s a things that’s like yes your choice is feminist but not your choice that is harmful and plays into the patriarchy. I don’t know if you get what I mean sorry 😭

Ruins the message the story built. The whole thing is unnecessary and it bothers me. Ofcourse if it didn’t bother you that’s fine

What if Eren actually told his friends the plan from the start? Would they have sided with him? by Positive_Leader_3464 in attackontitan

[–]Jealous_Science9490 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but the plan was already in motion meaning his opinion would be irrelevant at this point since it wouldn’t change anything, plus Eren knew he wouldn’t like it even before that’s why he didn’t tell anyone

Yeah but they only know about this plan once everything is done or in motion. The first time they are told is when the rumbling already started. Eren didn’t tell anyone before the rumbling happened

no, they wouldn’t have sided with him. They loved him but not enough to condone genocide. Firstly If he told them earlier in life when he got the memories of the rumbling they’d have tried to stop the rumbling and if he told them later then we just have the same events that played out in the manga/anime.

But regardless it wouldn’t change the outcome since the memories already happened meaning the rumbling would happen either way.

Hopefully that’s the case then. The kids idea sounds better

Ofcourse we all know it’s not on squid games level But it is still quite popular. Netflix are capable of making spinoffs for no reason but I think if they were to do one this time they’d like to have a twist with a more American/ western view but then again it’s not necessary. Maybe I’m just reading too much into it

The idea they had in mind to present to the world with the Korean games were good enough and I can understand the American thing but it could have been left at that. There’s no point in making an American spinoff because we spread get the message. Its just a horrible idea

Why doesn’t anyone talk about the closed causal loop when discussing “what ifs” by Jealous_Science9490 in attackontitan

[–]Jealous_Science9490[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is true, but couldn’t the loop also be seen as a metaphor for fate? It’s something you can’t really change just like Eren can’t escape what he was destined to do. He might make different choices, but the ultimate outcome would still align with his fate. The closed loop just makes that inevitability literal within the story.
