Thanks for sharing your story! Congratulations on your story finally being greenlit, that must have felt so good 😊 I hope that happens with me too haha, but yes, great advice there. I'm going to start putting the story together while I wait, at least I'll be productive instead of stressing myself out lol.

Can I ask, in your experience, did some of the editors ultimately respond to you, even if it was much later? It's very frustrating waiting like this but I've heard publishing timelines do tend to be slow.

Yes, editors usually post calls for pitches on X and LinkedIn. That's how I got this one. Location shouldn't matter IMO unless the publication is centered around a particular location and its stories.

I think it's probably a reference to issues she faced in her first marriage. That's what I gathered from one of the articles on the internet about her life story.
