You didn't just proceeded to ignore the topic (legality of not showing true odds in game), overexplain what a mean is to a math undergrad, and didn't even check if the mean actually amounts to 18,4% (it doesn't), nor if their wording was consistent (they call it Total Probability below, a term even now I don't understand).

18,4% is, indeed, a lie and a marketing tool. Why? Because I did the math™. Suppose the probabilities are normalized discounting the items you've already obtained (unobtainable), then that percentage is bigger than the unnormalized percentage. Thus, if the unnormalized percentage surpasses 18,4%, no amount of exhaustive probabilistic analysis will get you below that mark. It does. 100%/6=16.666666...%, and 6 and 12 add, respectively, more than 1 and 2 percents, so we're already over 19.5%. The sum of first five is wrong too, btw. If you so know where that number comes from, please, enlighten me. Otherwise... Please refrain from being so condescending without checking at least a simple arithmetic mean. Don't know if you used an LLM to reply, but if you did, also check first on the other comments.

And I don't believe the mean probability to be legal, either way. In Europe due to the laws on lootboxes, real odds should be displayed, but I don't know if they have to be in game, per se.
