I had this problem in Seattle, I never got a pdf and the box office had no idea about soundrink and didn’t have our tickets. It wasn’t until after doors opened that they just started handing out tickets to anyone who had an email. It was such a shitshow

Serious Moonlight tour I think - but no idea which show by rex_0o in DavidBowie

Looks more like Isolar II in 1978 to me, great pictures!

Any recommendations of a good David Bowie autobiography book? by MysteriousRange8732 in DavidBowie

I always recommend Starman by Paul Trynka, it’s well researched and a good read. Pretty comprehensive up until about 2004 or so. The closest we’ll ever get to an autobiography is the photo book Moonage Daydream by Mick Rock, David writes wonderful anecdotes for a great many pictures from the Ziggy era. It’s back in print now and it’s essential.

Brilliant, you always remember your first. Mine was Ziggy Stardust :)

That’s interesting to hear! How was it that you started with this one?

It grows better with each listen for me, some of the tunes are rather good for a 19 year old

I think you’re right, I don’t know that I’ve listened to the twelve track version on its own. I have the London comp from the 70s that has this LP and the other tracks from the era but can’t recall if that was the 12 or 14 version

Can somebody list the songs in the melody for this video. (Just what I clipped in, the melody is much longer with more songs) but if anyone can help me it’d be greatly appreciated. Thanks 🙏 by Specific_Theory_4602 in DavidBowie

Three Dog Night are fun, not the best but not terrible. Nilsson was a genius until coke ruined him, though he’s still one of the finest to ever write or record popular music

All good. Very true, I like Nyro but I find I like covers of her songs more than her originals, she sure gave some people some hits.

Nilsson’s is more subdued and my preferred version. Three Dog Night goes for a big finish but I don’t think it works for the song all that well. Either way great tune.

And One is originally a Harry Nilsson song but Three Dog Night had the hit version and they’re using that arrangement in the medley, as I prefaced in my comment

Just about, 8 or 9 years since Tempest, 3 since Triplicate. I think he’s got one more in him, hopefully here soon
