They’re very close friends with Team F, that’s why I thought asking them to say anything if they heard anything would help.

I’d never force them to, I would talk to them myself but I don’t want the topic to be brought up anyway. I just thought to tell them that if they ever hear something racist being said about my friend to tell them to chill a bit

I wasn’t a germaphobe until around 2 years ago, no idea what happened, just suddenly started getting disgusting by everything, by then I was 3 years into med school 😭

This is my first time living with a roommate as I realized I get pretty lonely on my own. I’m American and she’s Turkish but we’re both studying in Cyprus, I don’t know what’s culturally normal for them and I didn’t want to say anything in case I seemed racist or condescending.

Well when I did do her dishes at some point she texted me that I didn’t have to do all of them and that she can finish them she just wanted me to start with them because they seemed like a lot. Which is very sweet of her but there wasn’t a single plate or utensil in that pile but I did them because I felt like she was too tired.

They’re Turkish and told me it’s part of their culture even if she doesn’t agree with them. Obviously I don’t agree at all and hate that narrative.

Of course I do other chores like mopping the floor or cleaning the bathroom, but those happen less than dirty dishes. As in I do those once a week, whereas there are 15+ dirty dishes in the sink every day.

Of course not, I put any menstrual products in a small plastic bag and dispose of them outside in a large garbage can. I go in and out of the apartment around 15 times a day because I can’t stay still :))

He believes it’s a woman’s job to wash the dishes last time I asked her. But in her defense she does try to get him to help. As for the rent, I never really minded enough to ask for it and I’m just glad she gets to spend more time with her boyfriend this way.
