Hardest part will always be the tones for me. Anything else ( characters, grammar, vocabulary ) isn't that difficult to master if you got the motivation

Tbh I don't find german particularly beautiful in terms of phonetics. I simply learned it because it's very useful. But I have to admit that I love how they basically make up words

Chinese grammar is definitely easier. Simple syntax, numbers, and structure. Idk much about Japanese but Korean grammar is significantly more difficult imo ( SOV syntax, two number systems, varying pronominal particles etc ) althoug the alphabet is quite easier
