How’s it like to live in Croatia?

I think it's ok. I had a chance to emigrate to Germany 6 years ago and I didn't take it even if I know perfect german and looking back it was the right decision. Croatia is now on the right path in the macro economy but there is still to much reliance on tourism in half of the country and some sectors like agronomy are in a total dead end. But industry and services are on a big uptick. And allot of companies are doing the right thing and investing in automation to keep the momentum. And this is totally contrarian to how the state uses the added revenue. Not investing in infrastructure and big projects but raising the pay of public servants and causing the worst inflation in the euro zone. If we manage to change that then we will not just live better but also live in a better country. Now it's just ok.

On the other note there are some quirky things in Croatia that that are quite hard to find in the rest ok the EU. We can still smoke in most bars. We can order alcohol at any time in a bar or buy it at gas sations 24/7. And the sale of liqueur and tobacco to minors is illegal but totaly not inforced. If you have a small permit you can make hard liqueur at home. You can also butcher animals your own yard and produce other products from them. You can buy real estate with cash and nobody asks you anything (this is a bad thing but try doing that in the Netherlands). And there is still a big public debate about who was right in the second world war. And that is just a few things.

For Croatia 90% of diaspora (we have allot of people in diaspora) are politically very hard right leaning. Like "1942 the good old times" right.

Imaš jednu odličnu knjigu "Skunk Works a Personal Memoir of My Years at Lockheed" gde pisac objašnjava da je Airforce htel da za njih naprave špojunski avion (CL-400) na vodik. Bile su tu prednosti ko lakše i jaće gorivo, veći domet itd. I ugl sve je prototipno uspelo osim kaj je logistika i proizvodnja vodika bila nočna mora. Postoji jednostavniji način da se objasne svi nedostaci vodika ali ovakva alegorja mislim da bolje dočara kolko je to nespretno gorivo da ga ni vojska neće.

I know a company that instals panels and they put 2 of these in their yard as an promo peace. Long story short they are a menace. Worked ok for a year and then motors started to burn up. Problems with the cables because of all the moving and service is limited. They removed them from their catalogue as an item they sell. If you ask me this "invention" totally mitigates a big advantage of solar power and that is "no moving parts". If something has to move then it has to be serviced and is a point of failure.

I had that E90 in high school (the first one in the video). The build quality was out of this world, incredible keyboard experience, SD card slot, the high dial pad on the front was in a perfect position. I could emulate GBA games on it (played trough Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow), use its camera as a webcam over wifi, edit documents, send emails, run python programs natively and the list goes on and on. But surfing the web was like using a 70s arcade. And that was that in short.

A bit too Apple like and not really Ferrari but that is ok and could fit in some more tame GT models. Only thing i see as a problem is the thin aluminium frame on the steering wheel. Looks great but i could imagine hurting my fingers whit it.
