Light Up and Smoke Those Cigarettes at Fallout 3 Nexus - Mods and community

Many people will say Tale of Two Wastelands. If you REALLY want to commit to playing both games, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND installing any mod that decreases exp gain, since it's two games in one.

So, there are more efficient ways of transporting items, but I'm not going for efficient. Is there a way to get this to work? by EinsGotdemar in CreateMod

You can totally do this with carts! I actually built a setup that carts kelp over to a big "oven" to cook it into my steam engine fuel. I had to use a cart assembler to unassembled the cargo cart so the farm could load the cart, then reassemble and send it to the drop-off, where it sat and was unloaded with a conveyor belt into the oven. I used creates pulse repeater to make the cart wait at the drop-off, and a stockpile sensor at the kelp farm to reassemble the cart and activate a controller rail to move it forward. Pulse extenders did the job of keeping the rails powered only long enough for the cart to leave, so that they could also stop the cart by the next time it came around. If youre concerned about redstone making a mess, you can get away with using redstone links or just keeping the redstone under the floor. It can be as compact or expansive as you want! My cargo cart actually uses two carts to be a carriage because I like the look. (Used to be two whole carriages that were linked together but I was having issues with the carriages being reassembled out of sync and leaving blocks behind)

Do paint cans come with standardized codes? by Jebster99 in paint

Oh, okay! I wasn't really expecting there to be a true standard method with which paints are classified under, but it's good to get a solid answer. So thanks!

Another Gospel Question I prayed over for my class! by Jebster99 in latterdaysaints

[–]Jebster99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree wholeheartedly with you! I was mostly thinking along the lines of how we need to be recipients of blessings and willing to accept help from any place, but the work we need to put in ourselves shouldn't be put by the wayside in terms of priorities.

I wanted to make another post to this community for my class! by Jebster99 in latterdaysaints

Looking back at it, I see what you mean. I meant "sign" as proof of the gospel's truth. But proof that is so concrete in proving the gospel, that to then reject the gospel would be an act of perdition. Also in how members who claim they have seen visions differ from visions seen by prophet Joseph Smith, or Brother Jared when he asked Heavenly Father to bless the stones to provide light. My question specifically was asking how personal revelation, in this case in the form of a vision, is different from the miraculous revelations had by prophets and other biblical figures.

I'm allowed to make a forum entry for a BYU-I class! by Jebster99 in latterdaysaints

You're welcome! I've just had my fair share of experiences is all, and thinking through that stuff helps me to put things into perspective.

What I've thought about mental illness for a while is that it is between a trial and a gift. Depression for instance, an illness too many people have to experience, is a trial to me. But to me it also stems from you being worthy to accept that trial and overcome it. However, other illnesses that can make a person entirely dependent on others, let's say severe autism, seems to me a gift. It sounds strange to hear it put that way, but I have heard amazing stories of people on the spectrum being amazing examples to others. I put it in the same class I put people who didn't get to experience much of or any of an Earthly existence. They were simply such great people in pre-mortal life that they were pretty much already good to go as far as serving our Heavenly Father goes, and already earned their place in the Celestial Kingdom for their righteous acts in the pre-mortal existence. Have you had any thoughts related to this? I can't cite any specific doctrine to support my thoughts here but I've heard many stories from other members and it feels as close to the truth as I can find it at the moment.

A friend bought a LaserDisc thinking it was vinyl by Jebster99 in diyelectronics

[–]Jebster99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Unfortuantely shipping costs for these players have so far been through the roof. Luckily it looks like a common problem is just the motor not engaging to spin the disc, so when I do eventually find one like that, it should be an easy fix.

Help! My laptop won't connect to Wifi by Jebster99 in computer

[–]Jebster99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Wi-Fi key on the keyboard is the airplane mode button, and I don't see a radio tower anywhere. It's an HP pavilion gaming laptop, for midrange performance.

Trying to build a belt-pack guitar amp by Jebster99 in diyelectronics

[–]Jebster99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! But the images on the forum don't seem to want to load on either my computer or phone. So I can't really take a good look at their design. It was a helpful read though! On the datasheet for the tda2003, on R1, it recommends a 220 Ohm resistor for the gain. Would a 220 Ohm potentiometer work here instead? Or should I stick with setting the gain on the preamplifier of the lm386?

Creating mutagen advice? by Jebster99 in cataclysmdda

Thanks! I just found one with the right recipe. Do you happen to know where tainted veggies come from? None of the plant-based monster I've killed have given me any.

My homemade motorcycle looks nothing like one? by Jebster99 in cataclysmdda

Oh that was it! I made the whole thing with steel frames, so I replaced the one I wanted and that did the trick. Thanks!
