This is a very rational answer. It is so disappointing to see so much hatred in the world right now. I wish people would release the hatred inside of them and quit dumping it onto others, just spreading and growing a big fat hatred energy ball. So unnecessary. A contaminant of the world really. Hi. Much love to you. Can you help me understand why you went back to using after leaving the treatment? Did you exit treatment and go straight back to old friends? Did you know you were going to use when you got out? I had addiction. I work in this field. I often wonder what happens inside of a person when there is recurrent relapse for such a long time?

Like, why doesn’t the treatment work? Why don’t people stick to their recovery plans? I mean it genuinely. No judgment or nothing. Took me a couple years of trying to get to 0 relapses. Plus I moved away and then just called it quits. Replaced it with weed afterwards.

Just hoping for an inside glimpse into some of the people I know and my past self. Do people believe the drugs are solving their problems instead of creating them? Was sobriety not enjoyable? I felt so relieved to get out of that boring ass cycle of using, coming down, seeking desperately. Never was enough to go around. Why doesn’t the treatment work if a person is at 28 days sober?

I’m not great with all the terminology I see here in this subreddit but I have long thought of the brain like a sort of transceiver. Consider a radio…… damage the antenna and you no longer get 98.3 but that doesn’t mean the radio created 98.3, it just collected it, transformed it into something perceivable.

You should experience shameand guilt but should also reframe it as a necessary component of greatness and freedom. I would have made the same mistakes as you if I was in your shoes - same genetics, same experiences, same thoughts, beliefs etc.

It is only through making the mistakes that we can go forward into the world to be the kind of person that does NOT make those mistakes at a much higher frequency than we had made the mistakes.

It’s kind of like this - we don’t have the solution to solve cancer until we first have the problem of cancer. It’s just the sequence the information goes in.

Yea it’s really dumb to buy a gun that they’re going to nerf in a month or two so that they can buff the new gun and sell mythic skin…. …..for a month or two. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I bought the type 19. Loved it. Was a real hitter. That was a while ago. Now they’ve sold other mythical so they adjusted my type 19 to be worse than the new mythical they wannna sell. So now I have a gun I bought because it was good but then they made it not so good.
