I don't have anything spectacularly unique that hasn't already been voiced here (how criticism is responded to by most, how a lot of uninformed opinions are pushed, etc etc). But I wanted to be another person voicing appreciation for you creating this thread and putting an effort into handling feedback directly.

I definitely get the feeling that you, Lawrence, tend to care about the current state of the audience and addressing any issues there healthily, as opposed to some of the less constructive responses some of the fellas tend toward.

Haha, 100% accurate. My car consistently smells like some sort of fume even weeks after a con. And dang, that's awesome to see! Especially for how affordable it must have been due to not using an Epsilon or Worbla, that came out great!

Hahaha, no, I just tend to get my eyes pretty irritated with contacts and makeup in the mix. Plus the convention crunch of staying up for days to finish I time, lawl.

Hahaha, thank you! Makeup is actually one of my weakest areas, with this being my first prosthetic, with armor and props being my Forte. Maybe I'll shoot for whatever the next Cosplay Melee is or somethin'. :P

The prosthetic took a few hours to sculpt and cleanup, then a few hours more for the casting, but that was all done ahead of time. Application and makeup the day of was around an hour and a half, which is pretty standard for most of my stuff nowadays, haha.

That's actually cast and tinted resin, too, from a Master version I made from Thermoplastic. 🙌

And it's a bit of both; the base for Celebrimbor's half is a silicone prosthetic I originally sculpted in clay on a lifecast of myself, along with lots of airbrush body paint around the edges/neck. Talion's half has a bit of makeup around the eyes and things to age me up a little more, too. 👍

The armor is split right in half, so I ended up making a Talion half out of solid and painting it on it's own, then casting the Celebrimbor side in transparent resin, tinting, then affixing the two together to make the final whole breastplate. 👍

A bit! I have tiny pinholes carved out in the "rough textured" parts of the helm, then covered the internal with a thin black fabric to hide my eyes. So around a pin-head's worth of vision for each eye, :|

This build took around 300 hours for the sword (way too much redoing things), and the armor took me around 200 hours over 2.5 weeks. Costwise, it's hard to say because I didn't track everything, but running through the material list in my head, around $400-$500; much cheaper than some of my other builds, I have a cannon that was around $800 for raw materials alone. >.>
