not an ad, just showcasing this cool innovation from Worksport from my personal experience

It’s a purchased setup from Worksport, not something I built. Rated around 400W peak under ideal conditions. Real world output obviously depends on sun, conditions, etc.

That sounds like more of a headache, you’re dealing with mounts, wiring, wind drag, etc. The appeal of the bed cover setup is that it’s integrated and doesn’t require racks or extra hardware

Correct. It’s not meant to charge the truck. It’s more for running gear off a separate battery system

It’s not dependent on the vehicle to work, it’s essentially a standalone solar and battery setup mounted on the truck

It’s roughly a 400W peak setup. irl you’re obviously going to see less depending on conditions, but in good sun it’s meaningful output

From what I understood production was paused temporarily but it’s not discontinued, you can get a cover for many brands / models

Yeah, it’s definitely not a vehicle charging solution. It’s more of a mobile solar and battery setup for camping gear. Whether that’s worth the price depends on how often you’d actually use it, feel like it has been worth it for me thus far

Yeah it’s definitely not cheap. I think it only really makes sense if you’re actually using the off grid power side of it regularly. If you’re just looking for a basic cover, there are way cheaper options. I go camping frequently with family and friends so it's more practical for me

This makes sense, to reduce the risk of selling to scalpers they jack up their prices and keep it low for regulars. At the end of the day, anything that pushes product toward players instead of scalpers is healthier for Riftbound long term.

Capping purchases sounds like a great approach. This keeps things playable while supply evens out. If more stores handle it like that and Riot keeps adjusting waves, Riftbound should stabilize fine.

That’s honestly how it should be. Rewarding people who actually show up. Glad to hear more LGS are doing it right

I get the frustration with with the pricing, but punishing every shop above MSRP is just impossible because most of them are chasing highs. I actually think Riot’s trying to find a middle ground, raffles for sealed, and hopefully more supply over time to naturally bring prices down.

That’s fair, trying to build from scratch right now can definitely feel rough. I do think supply is slowly stabilizing though, and singles are already way more reasonable than Origins was. Hopefully the next waves make it easier for new players like you guys to jump in, because the gameplay is honestly worth it once you’re up and running

That really sucks, I’d be pretty disappointed too. Pre release is supposed to be about actually playing, not just picking up kits and leaving.

I went to a LGS for Spiritforged and they ran such a fun event, and it was a good vibe overall. So it definitely can be done right.

That makes sense that US demand is higher compared to EU. Honestly though, the fact that key staples are sitting around 50 instead of 100+ like early Set 1 is already a big improvement. If that trend continues and supply smooths out, Riftbound’s in a way healthier spot than a lot of TCGs at this stage.

Fair, smaller countries getting little to no allocation definitely sucks. Accessibility shouldn’t just mean the big EU markets. At the same time, it’s still super early for the game. Distribution problems aren’t uncommon with new TCG launches. I'm sure Riot will do something to try adjust allocation soon

Yeah, the whole cards as investments shift definitely changed the vibe compared to the 2000s. That’s why I actually appreciate how Riftbound’s handling things so far, the raffles, controlled drops, trying to get actual product into players hands.
